Best breakfast tacos in town

If you want to know where the locals go, this is it. It's portable Tex-Mex comfort food at its best...the breakfast taco. On any weekend morning, you'll see a long line of folks standing by the walk up window, waiting for their tacos to-go. Their tortillas are fresh and completely full of yumminess... read more

We've been going to El Charrito for over 15 years and love it everytime!!! Their carnitas are delicious and so is their fajitas dinners. Also they have the best breakfast tacos around!

Authentic home made Mexican food that puts the place up the street to shame. All dishes are made to order, served hot and delicious. Atmosphere is down home and the service is friendly. good food at great prices. the one drawback is that they do not have a liquor license, so bring your own.

This is a little place on the corner of Austin Ave & 3rd. It looks like a hole in the wall dive but don't be fooled - some of the best Mexican food you'd ever want to eat. I especially like to stand outside in the mornings to get a spectacular breakfast tacos. It might be considered a strange experience... More

The restaurant is very, very slow to produce service and food. It took them 45 min to bring my plate. The bean were good, the burritos were to standard and the rice super dry. Honestly avoid the place and go somewhere else. Or if you have an hour to kill his is your place. I rate this place low, lucky... More

Recently had lunch here with my wife. Very good TexMex style meal at reasonable prices. I had the chile relleno served with refried beans and rice. My wife had enchiladas with a tamale. The chile relleno should have been labeled as a ground meat stuffed poblano as there was no egg used in the preparation. That being said it was... More

Cheap eats--especially breakfast burritos. Offer outdoor window for grab and go. Inside is basic but could use a little cleaning. During holidays they offer tamales--and I stopped by after Christmas to ask if they still offered them. I was rudely told "No!" and the employee walked away in a huff. So if you're looking for decent food at fast food... More

I have found over the years that good TexMex is usually found in those out of the way places you least expect. There are your typical brick and bright lights places to choose from, and then there are the little spots that find a following and keep the tables filled. This is a small spot with a large menu. Plenty... More

Bottom line: For the same amount of money that I would spend to feed my family of two adults and two kids at Chipotle, I fed them at El Charrito. I love Chipotle, but this is so much better! The grilled chicken I had was oh-so-tender; my wife's fajita beef was tender with great char from the grill. My kids... More

Small place with about 10 tables. Food was good Tex Mex with a hint of authentic Mexican. I ordered the combo plate with a cheese enchilada, tamale, and chicken to standard. All we good and the sauce was my favorite. They did not skimp on the cheese either. They seem to have a lot of repeat customers and greet them... More
