Better than average home cooking

Definitely on the "farmers market" and local side of things. They have an amazing garden and an attached market where you can buy super fresh and unique foods. The place is a real treat. Most things are homemade. I had eggs benedict - superb. My daughter had a cinnamon roll and loved it. We would go there again. The experience... More

I have eaten breakfast here several times since moving to Georgetown and can highly recommend it. The eggs are especially fresh. Might be a little pricey but the food quality is worth it. Sit t the bar for fast coffee refills but get a booth or table if you want a quieter meal. Changing specials and a well done standard... More

Great diner atmosphere including much counter space. I have been visiting several times since I discovered their burger, fries. Better than some of the popular places magazine write ups! Friendly service. Yum. Booths have AC110 plugs for computers too.

I think that Monument Café's reputation is undeserved and overrated. While I do enjoy the breakfast here, the line is usually very long and the price is very high for breakfast. Dinner is bland, boring and overpriced. I can make a crisper and tastier chicken fried steak than this place. Someone needs to introduce spices. I paid $16 for a... More

Drove the 25 miles from our hotel in Austin and expected amazing. It was good food but pricey for the amount you get. I had the monument club sandwich..it was $10 and didn't even come with fries or anything. Menu said everything on it served all day...we ordered a cinnamon roll...they were out and said they always run out at... More

I was in Georgetown for a training and happened to stumble on Monument Cafe. It was so good the first day, we went back a second day and it was just as good. We chose to eat off the lunch menu both days. Day one was the Kobe burger and sweet potato fries (yum). Perfection. Today I had the wilted... More

I stopped in to Monument Cafe quite frankly after seeing it on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I went one morning with my brother and we both found it to be great. We each had a basic sort of "egg-centric" breakfast, but being the sweet-tooth being that I am, I vied for the cinnamon rolls as well. I have to admit... More

Very nice place on the main street (Austin), delicious food, you must try the chicken, that’s the best chicken that I have ever tried in US. The personnel was very nice, very fast and friendly. On the weekends can be pretty packed, between 20-30 minutes waiting time, but you can sit on the bar area, it’s very nice. I will... More

Enjoyed the kobe burger -- the patty had the perfect fat content, was cooked just the way I wanted it, and paired perfectly with cheddar cheese.
