The best chicken ever

Very nice place on the main street (Austin), delicious food, you must try the chicken, that’s the best chicken that I have ever tried in US. The personnel was very nice, very fast and friendly. On the weekends can be pretty packed, between 20-30 minutes waiting time, but you can sit on the bar... read more

Drove the 25 miles from our hotel in Austin and expected amazing. It was good food but pricey for the amount you get. I had the monument club sandwich..it was $10 and didn't even come with fries or anything. Menu said everything on it served all day...we ordered a cinnamon roll...they were out and said they always run out at... More

I was in Georgetown for a training and happened to stumble on Monument Cafe. It was so good the first day, we went back a second day and it was just as good. We chose to eat off the lunch menu both days. Day one was the Kobe burger and sweet potato fries (yum). Perfection. Today I had the wilted... More

I stopped in to Monument Cafe quite frankly after seeing it on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I went one morning with my brother and we both found it to be great. We each had a basic sort of "egg-centric" breakfast, but being the sweet-tooth being that I am, I vied for the cinnamon rolls as well. I have to admit... More

Enjoyed the kobe burger -- the patty had the perfect fat content, was cooked just the way I wanted it, and paired perfectly with cheddar cheese.

A very disappointing experience for us. We drove 40 miles to meet a friend there. The friend had never been to the Monument Cafe, nor had we. My friend ordered a $10 sandwich - fries were extra and, when they arrived, cold. I had to chase down the waiter to get her some hot ones. My girlfriend had french toast.... More

We went to the cafe during our short Georgetown visit for lunch and everybody loved their food. In particular the fried chicken was amazing.

This locally owned restaurant has consistently served the area for over 15 years with fresh Made from scratch food. Excellent service and wonderful desserts, biscuits, etch make it a great stop for simple food. Check out the gardens which surround th building.

We have been here three for four times and the food is always good. We like the deco style of the Monument. This time we each had a salad and split a dessert. It was good as always. I am sure that we will be back in the future when we are back this way.

The service was marginal. It took a long time for food to appear and out of 7 people, only 1 thought his was great. Two of the meals were inedible and credited. Such a shame as this was always a great place.
