Best Diner in Texas!

Wonderful local place with all fresh ingredients and friendly staff. We eat here at least once a day when we visit our family in Georgetown. Can't recommend it enough.

I ordered the "Lite breakfast". One egg/sausage/grits/biscuit. I specifically said I wanted the egg "Over Medium - white solid, yellow runny". The waitress said "I know". Obviously she didn't get the message across. Egg was not solid white, sausage was tough and rather cool, the biscuit was not warm enough to melt butter, and the grits were mixed and some... More

I visited this restaurant because it was a DDD restaurant. I was not disappointed. I had breakfast and had the best French toast I have ever eaten. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was very much an old time diner. I visited the produce store adjacent to the restaurant and was surprised as to the quality and the price.

This place is amazing! I love it for anything when I'm in the mood for "home cooked". Their pancakes, eggs Benedict, sandwiches, roast beef, Migas and pink lemonade are ohh so good!

Love the easy going feel of this place. It has the vibe but the food was standard fare and not exceptional. Service was top notch and the bathroom setup interesting and worth a trip. The downtown area has lots of appeal so stop and shop the way they did 50 years ago.

You have to try this place. My impression of an upscale Dinner. Great Coffee had the Monument breakfast it was good I also had the cinnamon roll, very sweet. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The waitstaff is friendly and energetic. The crowd is mostly locals. I will be back to try something else.

What a great place to eat and quiet for conversation. Loved meeting our friends at a table. Liver and onions were better than my momma ' s. So tender. Everyone loved their meals. No room for home made deserts. The ambiance reminded me of the diners in NJ and PA 50 years ago. Will definitely go back!!!!

Read reviews and this seemed the place to go. Just so- so good as far as the bacon and eggs. Way overpriced. Work on those potatoes not impressed! Pancakes though were delicious!

Disappointing! The menu has changed and prices have increased. The coffee used to be outstanding, but this visit the coffee was weak and watered down. The grits were more like creamed corn (and kinda gross). The quiche was flat and tasteless with the bottom crust still raw. The hostess and waitress provided fabulous service.

I am visiting Texas and had wanted to try Monument Diner. It was featured on "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives". I went to breakfast there with my daughter & her husband. I had gotten a skillet dish that was comprised of seasonal vegetables with scrambled eggs on top of home fries. It also came with biscuits & gravy. I had never... More
