I love to go to the Sunflower for a delicious fish meal at lunch time. Their options change from day to day but you can usually find a nut crusted dish such as almond crusted or pecan crusted snapper or another succulent fish choice. Whatever the filet of the day, the portion will be generous and delicious. The sides are... More

Outstanding casual breakfast/lunch cafe on Galveston's east end. Our party of 2 had a 20 minute wait at 10 a.m. on a Sunday, but it was worth it. Crabmeat omelette and the blueberry/blackberry coffee cake were outstanding. Generous mimosas. Baked goods all look very good and very fresh. A runner from another restaurant in town was buying several dozen bread... More

We were told our seating would take about 10 minutes, so we meandered into the attached antique shop. Within about two minutes, we were seated. Our waiter was great, and the food and coffee were delicious. We had the Santa Fe Huevos (loved the corn cake underneath), challah French toast (perfection), and chocolate chip pancakes (yummy but would've preferred the... More

My wife and I had breakfast here and it was great, we walked the strand and I had to take her back for the sweets. I'm eating the chocolate cake as I am typing this. The menu was priced fairly.

Our friends took us here for breakfast, and while the coffee was not good at all, the Salmon and Eggs was fantastic!. My wife and I both got thick, perfectly cook salmon filets and eggs fried by a cook that knows exactly what they are doing. Every plate I saw come out of the kitchen looked like great food and... We stumbled upon the Sunflower Bakery and Cafe on a recent trip to Galveston. The breakfast was very good. The potatoes were probably the best I have ever had in a restaurant. It is connected to a gift/antique shop. If I ever get to Galveston again, I would go back for sure!

If you love to walk in and be wow'd by pretty bakery goodies, this is the place for you. Their treats look like they are too good to be true. A friend insisted that we couldn't leave Galveston without going here, so we decided to offset the calories by walking. It was so far on foot but worth it. We... More

It is a nice restaurant, with good price to quality ratio. It is located close to UTMB, so it's a nice place for students to have a meal.
