The food was very good as was our waiter Jean. I had the yummy waffles, bacon, & eggs. My boyfriend had the pancakes, ham, & eggs. We will definitely go again the next time we are here.

Had full breakfast with the family and there were enough options to please everyone and make us want to come back to try other breakfast dishes. The OJ was fresh and we got a few pastries' to go for an early breakfast tomorrow. If you don't mind a little wait, you won't be disappointed. We have eaten inside and outside... More

Four friends tried different sandwiches. All delicious! Though we did not partake, the bakery had many decadent looking pies, cakes, cookies, breads, etc. Fun to shop the gift shop also!

Went on a Sunday afternoon in the summer so the wait was about 45 minutes at 10am. I knew the wait would be long on Sunday morning. There is a antique shop attached to the restaurant to browse thru while you wait or you could go look at the delicious bakery items for sale. I got the crab omelet. It... More

Had breakfast on Saturday morning. No wait but the place was busy. Very reasonably priced. The potatoes are delicious, bacon and pancakes, too. I had the shrimp omelette and it was really good. We did not have pastries but they all looked so good especially the pecan pie dipped in chocolate and of course the sunflower cookies. I may have... More

We went to Sunflower late on a Saturday morning, which proved to be a little problematic since the place was packed with a 30-min. wait. But the brunch food did prove to be worth the wait. The crab omelette and the lump crab prepared Eggs Benedict-style were extremely tasty. Service was as friendly as possible considering how crowded and hectic... More

Breakfast at the Sunflower Cafe was the high point of both our days in Galveston. It is a charming place with friendly wait staff both inside and out. The menu had many tempting items. The Oysters Benedict were a wonderful dish and a special Galveston treat. The gift shop adjoining the cafe was an added treat. A fabulous eclectic collection... More

During my stay in Galveston, this was the best breakfast I had. This was actually the best breakfast I've EVER had if you compare the basics: eggs, potatoes, bacon, ham, pancakes, toast, OJ. Over-easy eggs: perfect, yellow, creamy, runny on the inside to dip your toast. Bacon: 4 nice thick slices, super crispy, & not fatty. Ham: thick slice, not... More

My family is pretty healthy and we eat gluten and dairy free. We are traveling with a family that has a child that has a more standard American diet palate. We were all able to eat well at sunflower. My family had omelettes and I had a chicken/potato/egg bowl. The other family had chocolate chip pancakes, key lime pie, and... More
