We stopped here for a shake and a coffee. It was lovely and old fashioned and the malts delicious. The confectionary looked lovely but was expensive so we just had a little nibble.

There were so many types of candy, We each got an ice cream cone. The service was fast and friendly. I liked the... More

My family looks forward to La King's every year when we visit Galveston. This year on our visit we shared The King Banana Split...almost a POUND of ice cream! You choose the flavors from the delicious homemade ice cream made right upstairs. It was a wonderful treat. The confectionery is beautiful and the staff are so friendly - they help... More

This is an old time candy shop, coffee, ice cream and fountain soda bar! The fudge is amazing! From the cookies and cream ice cream to the many flavors of fudge it's all made in store! They also carry many of my childhood favorite candies! I felt like a child in this store along with my own children running around... More

I enjoyed the coffee flake ice cream as well as the the espresso ice cream while my son and wife enjoyed the apple pie ice cream!! It was a tasty bit of summer relief from a... More

This is one of the coolest ice cream shops I have been too. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ice cream was amazing! Everyone should visit this place! It's worth the time.

I loved the saltwater taffy - all of them! We enjoyed the ice cream and root beer float. And I tasted few other wonderful treats. I do miss the nostalgic feel it has lost to the economics/business side. The staff while functional - most appeared bored.

This is a cool place. Homemade candy (made in front of you!), ice cream, coffee shop, fudge, sodas. Just a great place to get a little sweet treat

We had a giant kings banana split that took four of us to eat. Watched the taffy being made and bought some of our own. It was a great experience and taffy is amazing!! Definitely a glimpse from the past!
