Went here on a recommendation from a random guy in Arlington during a pedicure. I may have to find recommendations like that more often! I have nothing bad to say about this place. The boudin balls, the gumbo, the crabcakes, oh my! Everything was delicious. But the serious winner here was the Shrimp Diablo. Oh god, they were so good.... More

We prefer eating at places that are not duplicated anywhere else, so we avoided the big "names" in Galveston and opted for this location as told to us by two of the bellmen at our hotel in a small indistinct shopping strip that is neither on the Strand nor near the seawall area. On entering, we took notice of the... More

I was puzzled at the minimal Greek entries, so asked my friends what they thought was going on. They were pretty firm on it being actually a Cajun style Seafood menu, with some Greek tacked on. They said the seafood dishes were very good. My hamburger was just average. Interior redone after H. Ike, of course, and upgraded to nice... More

I've been to Cajun Greek several times now and every dish I try has been amazing! One of my favorites are the fried blue crab claws, absolutely delicious! I had them with some french fries and couldn't believe how good they were, crispy liked they are fried but none of the grease. Great atmosphere too, after one trip the waitress... More

This really is a place that specializes in both Cajun and Greek dishes, both emphasizing local seafood. I'd note that the two styles of food are kept separate (no blackened lamb or souvlakia gumbo, for better or worse). The only big disappointment was the key lime pie, which was too sweet without any real key lime flavor.

We came to Galveston for our grand daughter's University of Texas Medical Branch graduation. I asked our hotel valet for seafood restaurant recommendations, and he gave high marks. It's a small, unassuming place in a small strip shopping area. There was a very appealing layout of plate suggestions, and a clarinet player with live music as we entered. The food... More

We always ask locals where they eat, and the Cajun Greek was recommended by many. Within these recommendations, they said stay away from the Greek side of the menu (not sure why). We ordered a variety of things. My family of 4, ordered a variety of things: 3 lbs of Crab that was a huge portion and good, gumbo, which... More

We had been there before the hurricane hit and wanted to go again. I remember it being somewhat better. The food was just average.... I was disappointed. I had the oysters, they were over cooked and bland. We tried a few dishes and appetizers and everything just tasted bland. The one thing that's was okay was the boudin balls. I... More

We were in Galveston for 5 days and this was the best place we ate. The food was well prepared and fresh. The service was fast and friendly. Most of the people were locals and were on first name terms with the wait staff. Their seafood is delivered fresh every day from the boats, nothing ever frozen. Really was the... More
