My husband and I had lunch at Rudy&Paco today and I must say it was outstanding. I had the Havana Pork Sandwich and my husband had the Tacquito's build your own and I am sure it could have fed at least four people. Excellent service by Mary and we had made reservations and our table was waiting for us. Would... More

Excellent Red Snapper lunch at a decent price. Excellent service and beautiful decor. Very prompt and attentive staff. Dinning area a bit cramped for our taste, but for lunch that was not a problem. For a crowded event it would be much akin to communal dining amongst strangers.

Hadn't been back since H. Ike, and it was past time. They've restored the same decor as before, a plus and a minus (see below). Still dark wood, still an intimate feel. Filete de Carne Presidente was excellent--they even added a touch in the preparation that wasn't on the menu. Be sure to ask. Dessert was disappointing. They can't do... More

Mom n I are on girls trip n this is always one of our favorite meals. It's a snug restaurant but past visits have always been pleasant. Tonight had 2 large groups-college kids across the back wall, they acted as one would expect at a nicer restaurant. Second group was a 50'ish yr old bday group of couples-not so well... More

One of the best among service. Our waiter was great: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, but not intruding. He recommended a great wine for me since I don't know much about choosing wines. Too bad I can't remember his name. The complimentary plantain chips were awesome. My husband & I had to stop eating so much to leave room for our food.... More

We had seen the reviews so decided to check out the restaurant. For dinner, on opentable, reservations were several days out so we went for lunch. The menu was quite diverse. Local seafood. Latin fare. Pasta. Salads. Really nice options. We had the ceviche, spinach salad, tostadas, taquitos, ropa vieja, and a chicken dish. Instead of bread, they serve plantain... More

Always stop here for lunch. Friendly staff and great service. Everything here is good but try the fish tacos, pork tostadas , or the meat loft sandwich. Generous portions.

This place was awesome. The food was wonderful, the staff were wonderful and the atmosphere is nice. I really enjoyed this place and will be back. This may be my favorite place in Galveston. Galveston has a whole lot to offer when it comes to restaurants and cuisine...and this might be my favorite of all of the options I've had... More

We have been going to Rudy & Paco's for the last 4 years, so this is no first time visit review. By far the Islands best restaurant. Outstanding food and atmosphere. The service is second to none. Highly recommended.

Went for dinner on a Friday. Place was very crowded. We were seated near the bar and therefore the noise level was much lower. Service was very good and the food was innovative and for the most part excellent. I had a fried calamari appetizer. The coating was excellent but the calamari was too chewy. I've had much better in... More
