Leon's is a small (8-10 tables) little hole in the wall restaurant off of with some of the best brisket that I've ever had. It's located on Broadway as you are coming onto the island. The bark on the BBQ is perfect and the smokey flavor is great. The brisket has always been juicy and tender. A plate comes with... More

Hey you must visit here if you are BBQ lover! This Restaurant is Cozy and homey... Not much to look at from the outside, but when you walk in...It has that smell of "You know you are gonna get a great meal". People there are friendly and talkative. Tender, tender tender brisket, sausage it perfect. My wife had the chicken... More

So unfortunately I was watching what I took in calories today, but still had a great lunch. A turkey sandwich consisted of two slices bread (choice of wheat or white), 4-5 ounces of turkey, pickles and onions. The sandwich was not "made" which allowed me to control how much meat was on the sandwich and still had some left over... More

Little hole in the wall place only locals go to. Really little. Really local. This is bbq folks, not fine dining. That said, the service depends on who seats you. Our server was, shall we say a bit loopy but I'm so glad we kept an open mind and patiently waited because everything was soooo worth the wait (and Leon... More

"You're not going to get nothing to eat?!" she asked but with a smile on her face. When I explained that I was a vegetarian and really we were there for my friend to try the "finest" she laughed and was understanding. My "non-food" of collards and sweet potato pie were absolutely delicious -- worth returning the next day for.... More

The riblets were good, spicy rice was SPICY, and the brisket was amazing! I ordered the regular brisket and my friend ordered the extra lean brisket; both were superb. I also had the sweet potato pie and greatly enjoyed it. Mr. Leon himself chatted with us and wished us safe travels! It's one of those small, hidden treasure restaurants that... More

Called in my order and Ms. Ada was very nice over the phone. Then I was unsure if I would make it in town on time, so I called to cancel. We initially drove by the building. But there is a tall sign with the owners pics on it and the restaurant is on the right side of the road... More

Should be called world's driest BBQ. Would not recommend it to anyone. I do have to admit that the sausage was descent. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it had sour cream in it.

Small place. Excellent food. Brisket was very good. Cornbread good. Food was warm not hot. Green beans another good side.

My husband and I went to Leon's because it was listed on the Texas Monthly 50 Best BBQ Joints list. The brisket was good (the burnt ends were the best). The sausage was better than the brisket. The homemade buttermilk pie was outstanding. The place has a nice and friendly family BBQ joint atmosphere.
