The barbeque was not all that good. Definitely the chicken and sausage were some of the worst we ever had. The ribs and brisket and chopped beef were okay. We have definitely had better barbeque at other places. We went in on a Sunday near closing time. We felt rushed to eat the whole time we were there as they... More

Snuck over for a quick lunch before afternoon clinic. The service was excellent and the BBQ authentic. The NC BBQ was not quite what I expected but it was still tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

The meat was delicious (brisket, ribs, and both sausages tried), we all enjoyed the sides and the corn bread, the service fantastic (our waitress explained everything thing and answered all our questions). Leon came over, had his photo taken, chatted and cut up my husband's meat for him as he was holding the baby and trying to eat one handed.... More

Close to the end of IH 45 on Broarway. Park on the street. Old building but clean. Specializes in African-American style. Table service. Brisket, sausage, and beans good. Potato salad not to my taste. Beer served.

Leon's is a small (8-10 tables) little hole in the wall restaurant off of with some of the best brisket that I've ever had. It's located on Broadway as you are coming onto the island. The bark on the BBQ is perfect and the smokey flavor is great. The brisket has always been juicy and tender. A plate comes with... More

Hey you must visit here if you are BBQ lover! This Restaurant is Cozy and homey... Not much to look at from the outside, but when you walk in...It has that smell of "You know you are gonna get a great meal". People there are friendly and talkative. Tender, tender tender brisket, sausage it perfect. My wife had the chicken... More

So unfortunately I was watching what I took in calories today, but still had a great lunch. A turkey sandwich consisted of two slices bread (choice of wheat or white), 4-5 ounces of turkey, pickles and onions. The sandwich was not "made" which allowed me to control how much meat was on the sandwich and still had some left over... More

Little hole in the wall place only locals go to. Really little. Really local. This is bbq folks, not fine dining. That said, the service depends on who seats you. Our server was, shall we say a bit loopy but I'm so glad we kept an open mind and patiently waited because everything was soooo worth the wait (and Leon... More

"You're not going to get nothing to eat?!" she asked but with a smile on her face. When I explained that I was a vegetarian and really we were there for my friend to try the "finest" she laughed and was understanding. My "non-food" of collards and sweet potato pie were absolutely delicious -- worth returning the next day for.... More
