Crab balls were a very good appetizer. The fried shrimp was fresh. The waiter was very attentive and nice. If you go and park in their lot, don't forget to bring your ticket in because they will comp parking for you.

The location is great. Right across the street from the pier. We usually stop in here when we visit because the prices are reasonable, the food decent, the drinks are cold and the staff are always VERY friendly. I recommend it if you are in town for a few days and want to try something different each meal.

My family and I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. We took some extended family the last time we were in town and they loved it also. Try the "shrimp kisses". They are fantastic!!!

First time here, definitely will go back when in the area. Service was great. Atmosphere was too cool! But the food was great. Highly recommend the guacamole /pico/ crab appetizer

Stayed in Galveston the night before leaving for a cruise. We had been here before and knew it was a safe bet for good seafood. Landry's has taken over and it do I'd not disappoint. We had shrimp kisses as an appetizer. Not too spicy...shrimp was super fresh. Then came the gumbo. I have never been a fan of Landry's... More

I got the fish & Chips (Cod) it was 20 bucks and not that good. Service was good. Location is good, across the road from the pier. I would not come back here. Families would pay a fortune to feed the kids.

We weren't expecting a lot out of Fish Tales after we found out it was a chain and we saw the prices. Some of the prices seemed a little hard to live up to knowing our expectations, but it turned out to be a FANTASTIC experience! We started off with the Cevichè which was surprisingly authentic and tangy. We then... More

We ate here the day after Thanksgiving. Enough of the turkey and dressing, give me some seafood. We started with oysters on the half shell. They were slightly small but fresh, cold and salty. The marque showed the special of the day was stuffed poblano pepper with crab sauce topped with grilled talipia and shrimp. Sides were black beans and... More

We were hunting for a place the night before Thanksgiving that was open and luckily stumbled into Fish Tales. Your parking is validated at the restaurant which is obviously nice. But the best part was the meal. We made it in 10 minutes before Happy Hour ended, but our waitress pointed that out to us and got our order in... More

Located across the street from the Historic Pleasure Pier in Galveston, TX, Fish Tales offers a nice mix of mid-priced seafood meals, Tex-Mex, and bar food. My server in late November 2014 was Brian, a lifelong resident of Galveston, and a wonderful, warm person - thank you Brian! I had a DELICIOUS meal of Tilapia and Crab-Stuffed Poblano, so many...
