The staff and food made this visit excellent. The prices weren't so great, but average for the chain. Sit inside or outside, but beware of birds scavenging for unattended food, or food droppings. A great place to eat overall, and highly recommended to try at least once.

My wife and I were in Galveston for my 75th Birthday celebration and decided a perfect place to go for dinner was right on the Seawall directly across from Pleasure Pier, the entertainment facility built on an old pier that originally housed a large hotel that was destroyed by Hurricane Ike in 2008. The restaurant has been there for quite... More

Great location! Disappointing food quality and quantity. More like a Fib than a Fairy tale! The restaurant has disintegrated over the years. It used to be a really nice place to go for a special occasion, not so anymore!

We were lucky to go on a Friday night when it was not busy so, we went up on the top and ate with an ocean view! It was a pleasant night, not too hot, just a wee bit windy - thank goodness for ponytail holders in my purse! My husband and I ordered raw oysters, that were ok. They... More

The food was delicious, but for the same money in town, at Pappas, you certainly won't leave hungry. It's located right across the street from the "Pleasure Pier" which is a "Landry's" restaurant chain venture. The waitstaff was attentive. and the decor was woody and nautical. The thing that attracted me to the place, was that the wind was proudly... More

Fish Tales is one of the restaurants that we return to when we visit Galveston because of the pleasant atmosphere and they have a couple of dishes on their menu that we like. They have an appetizer called "Shrimp Kisses" which is shrimp stuffed with pepper jack cheese, wrapped in bacon, and broiled. These are very tasty! They also have... More

This was my first time here, and I was not disappointed. It's got a nautical/fisherman's decor which I dig, and a happy hour which I dig even more! The food was also good, and the wait staff quite friendly. The deck is three stories above the seawall and the owners acknowledge visitor's desire to sit outside by the size of... More

I was very impressed with this restaurant. It was recommened to me by a friend and my husband and I absolutely loved it! Everyone is so friendly the minute you walk in the door so the atmosphere is great. The food was amazing! We enjoyed everything we ordered starting with an appetizer (shrimp wrapped in bacon). I loved everything about... More

Ok so this place has an awesome patio overlooking the Pleasure Pier and the beach. So A+ for that. We ordered sweet tea which was yummy and to start oysters on the half shell which were the absolute worst oysters I've ever tasted in my entire life but Texas had an unseasonably cold winter so we will let that slide....
