I really liked this restaurant. I got the fish and chips and they were delicious. I also got a frozen slushy, which I think was banana, pineapple and passionfruit flavor. I sat upstairs at a high-rised table and I went downstairs to choose from their pretty big selection of Bluebell ice cream. I got birthday cake. They had cute T-Shirts... More

We were traveling with a large group for a gymnastics meet and as a last minute thing decided to grab dinner together. 75+ people were in our group. They didn't even blink an eye. Our service was amazing, all of our food was perfect, and checks correct. I was stunned at how well they handled our service and was even... More

I was stationed in Galveston for 2.5 months and ate/drank at Fish Tales on a regular basis. Why? Friendly staff, they remembered my name, were always having fun and the food/menu is diverse and tasty. Prices are average, the food is not. Plus, its a good stretch along the seawall, so you can walk from some hotels and back to... More

I have eaten at Fish Tales in the past and have always enjoyed the entrees. The weather was great so we sat on the deck facing the gulf. The only problem was the noise from the air compressor running across the street, work on the new Pleasure Pier. My dish was Fish with a crab sauce over pasta, New Orleans... More

We happened to be in the area during restaurant week and decided to try out Fish Tales. We scanned the special menu and ordered such that we try every option. The first course was delicious seafood gumbo with rice, and just the right amount of spiciness. The garden salad was rather ordinary, so nothing to complain or brag about there.... More

Stopped in for the restaurant week special for dinner. Got gumbo, salad, entree, and Blue Bell ice cream for $25/pp. The gumbo was very delicious and spicy. For the entree, I got the sea wall sampler which had coconut shrimp, tilapia, and crab cakes. The shrimp was good. The crab cakes don't compare to Maryland crab cakes. The tilapia was... More

The food has always been great. The view of the gulf is partially blocked by Treasure Pier; but you can still see the water. Short trip cross the street & you are on the water

Been here several times and food is always good and so is the service. Did observe food sitting out for a long time on the serving area under lights. Parking is free at Fish Tails but have to validate ticket.

We usually eat at this restaurant every time we are in Galveston and we are never disappointed, though it can get very busy and you sometimes have quite a wait. Good excuse to visit the bar upstairs. Their food is very good and the Blue Bell ice cream choices up front are very fun, especially for kids or the young... More

Had a wonderful dinner here on a monday in january. Started off with crab and avocado dip along with margueritas - perfect. I had the shrimps four different ways for main, which was wonderful (especially the coconut ones), and finished off by sharing a succulent bread pudding. Really a wonderful evening.
