We stayed in Galveston the night before our cruise and ate dinner here. You have to know where to dind it. You won't stumble on it just wandering around. This was the weekend of the Ironman competition and the place was packed with athletes and their families and college students. . You walk up to the counter and grab a... More

Went on the recommendation of a friend that lived in Galveston. Glad we did. Not exactly what I expected but we will return. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. It was very laid back and unassuming. The food was excellent. We had fish tacos and the bacon cheeseburger. They even had a wine... More

We tried this place based on being rated high on trip advisor's list of top places to eat. We were expecting something different based off that rating. Options were limited on sides not this restaurant's fault but was surprised it was so high on the list. Food was fine would have expected actual potato fries or something besides potato chips.

Mosquito Benedict - that is all you need to know! Other items on the menu are fabulous as well, but you will not find this particular taste bud experience at any other place. Reasonable, great atmosphere, on weekends go early, or be patient and wait, the experience is well worth it.

We ate here our third (and last) night in Galveston. Wish we had gone there sooner. Reasonable prices, very ample portions, and very good food.

Myself and 3 girlfriends went here recently for breakfast. We went on a Thursday morning around 9 and had no trouble getting a table. You order at the counter, you are given a number, and then your food is brought to your table. Everything on the menu sounds absolutely delicious . It was hard to decide so everyone in our... More

This is a taste treat. Great food, great wine. The menu is unique with flavors that are special to Mosquito. We search for places that are local and creative. This is a winner. Went here for spring break. We will be back.

Mosquito Cafe is by FAR my favorite place to dine in Galveston. The menu is so eclectic from sandwiches, salads and soups to things like Shrimp and Cheese Grits, meat loaf, and Senegalese Vegetables. The ambiance is very cool. Kind of beach meets shabby chic. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table for you.... More

This is where the locals go. Nice menu choices. Services is exceptionally friendly and the food is wonderful. Had the turkey burger and simply pasta with chicken at our table. Very good. Watched several orders going out and want to try them all. Definitely will return.
