We were in town for my daughters wedding and decided to try for breakfast on Sunday. The food was great. I loved the quiche and cheese grits. Two got breakfast bowl and were pleased. One got the original breakfast. Coffe was great too. Would recommend anytime you visit Galveston

Each time we drove by the Mosquito, there was a line out the door. With all of the great restaurants, we figured there would always be another time we could try the place. Finally on Sunday, we went there for breakfast. Unfortunately, the descriptions of the food were much better than what we received. In their defense, the coffee was... More

I was at Mosquito Cafe three of four times with friends and colleagues. Every time I order something different, but wasn't satisfied. Maybe you will like this place more if you are vegetarian.

The food is delicious. It is not on the main areas of town, so it is a little more relaxed. They have great seafood and a great menu. Highly recommend.

My husband and I went and we got there about 20 minutes before 11 I was expecting a really long line but it was only 10-15 min long. We were worried that we would miss the breakfast menu but on Saturdays they serve breakfast until 11:30!! I ordered the breakfast bowl and my husband ordered the plain 'Ol breakfast and... More

I was looking for a great breakfast place that was "local" and not a chain. My hotel staff suggested the Mosquito Cafe. The restaurant is charming. Very clean with wonderful menu choices. I had the Mosquito Benedict and after texting a picture of it to my family, I devoured the whole thing. I was impressed enough to ask to go... More

I have eaten at Mosquito Cafe many times as I frequent Galveston a lot. I eat here EVERY time I visit. The food is quality with fresh ingredients, mostly healthy, but tasty. I also like the location and ambiance. If you can find a shady spot on the patio, it's nice too. My favorite restaurant in Galveston! Oh my, I... More

We heard good things about this place. We liked the food a lot. The inside seating is very limited, so we sat on the patio. If it was my place, I would screen in the patio. The flies were terrible and everyone just wanted to leave and bring our food back to the hotel. I was disappointed about that, because... More

We wanted to go to a local place and since this had great reviews we decided to give it a try. The food was so-so, nothing spectacular. I wasn't impressed with the staff. When our meal was finished we weren't thanked or acknowledged. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and won't be going back.

We have been here several times and I always stop when I'm in Galveston. I had the chicken salad sandwich that has a nice light tarragon mayo and the apple walnut salad. The croissant was great. The chicken salad was ok. The salad was very good. I guess I usually have breakfast here and that is extraordinary.
