My family and I were looking for a good breakfast place during our recent trip to Galveston and I found the Mosquito Cafe while looking on Tripadvisor for suggestions. We got there about 9 a.m. or so on a weekday and there were only a few people there. We were able to order right away and the food came very... More

We had breakfast and lunch at the Mosquito Cafe and both were excellent. Very large portions and a lot of healthy choices.

Visited Mosquito Café for lunch with friends. We arrived about fifteen minutes after the café opened so we were one of the first customers. Orders included hamburger, grilled shrimp tacos, shrimp cake sliders and turkey sandwich. There was a delay in the kitchen that day and 40 to 45 minutes later, we got our food. The waiter/owner commented on the... More

Went to the Mosquito for breakfast Sunday morning. You walk up to the counter and place your order and they bring it to your table. There are not as many choices for breakfast or lunch but all the selections are quality with the extra touches. We ordered one pancake to split in addition to our meals and it was topped... More

Their eggs benedict are delicious, the bacon is thick, tasty and crunchy and the coffee selection is good. Don't forget to have some of their famous fresh squeezed orange juice mimosas. Yum!

Great atmosphere. It's an old house converted to a cafe. Seems like the owners might live there. Casual atmosphere. Lots of character and home style feel. Great food, and menu.

Mosquito Cafe has a number of good reviews here on Trip Advisor and I must say that it lives up to its reputation. My wife and I were certainly pleased with our breakfast experience there. We arrived fairly early, just after 8AM on a Saturday and there were only a few folks in line. 15 minutes later the line was... More

This was the highlight of our Galveston trip. Both kids meals and adult entrees were excellent. The baked goods available for dessert were perfect. Highly recommend.

We weren't even hungry but knew we needed to eat dinner. So we came here. Had Napa salad and the Mambo sandwich with apple pecan side. Wow! So good! We ate it all! And the staff was so nice and friendly. Not too full, just right, even with the huge portions. Wish we had room for a dessert because they... More

This is a good cafe! However it is usually crowded and expensive. This is a great place for adults. I wouldn't take kids there though.
