This place is obviously very popular from the lines of people but they move the crown quickly and service is great. They have some unique offerings like; savory scones, beautiful cakes and great breakfasts. We went back a second time it was so good and such a great atmosphere.

After reading reviews on tripadvisor we drove to Galveston to check out this restaurant. We drove in from La Porte and were the first customers there. The service was great, breakfast was outstanding! We will be visiting again and bring family and friends.

Our food at the cafe was excellent: Kahuna Tuna, Bacon Cheeseburger, and Island Slammer. We did not enjoy the wait-in-line set up. The servers were aggravated when we asked for additional condiments when our food arrived. We did come on a busy Saturday, but we felt more staff could be in place to accommodate the high traffic time.

Another trip to Galveston has to include a meal at Mosquito Cafe. We always start with Galveston Island Visitor Center at Ashton Villa to learn about the weeks activities, always helpful. This time we took a historic golf cart tour and learned more about the Galveston Tree Sculptures, the historic homes, and that most restaurants are closed on Monday. Due... More

My family and I were looking for a good breakfast place during our recent trip to Galveston and I found the Mosquito Cafe while looking on Tripadvisor for suggestions. We got there about 9 a.m. or so on a weekday and there were only a few people there. We were able to order right away and the food came very... More

We had breakfast and lunch at the Mosquito Cafe and both were excellent. Very large portions and a lot of healthy choices.

Visited Mosquito Café for lunch with friends. We arrived about fifteen minutes after the café opened so we were one of the first customers. Orders included hamburger, grilled shrimp tacos, shrimp cake sliders and turkey sandwich. There was a delay in the kitchen that day and 40 to 45 minutes later, we got our food. The waiter/owner commented on the... More

Went to the Mosquito for breakfast Sunday morning. You walk up to the counter and place your order and they bring it to your table. There are not as many choices for breakfast or lunch but all the selections are quality with the extra touches. We ordered one pancake to split in addition to our meals and it was topped... More

Their eggs benedict are delicious, the bacon is thick, tasty and crunchy and the coffee selection is good. Don't forget to have some of their famous fresh squeezed orange juice mimosas. Yum!

Great atmosphere. It's an old house converted to a cafe. Seems like the owners might live there. Casual atmosphere. Lots of character and home style feel. Great food, and menu.
