Charming place w/ very good food.

Went there for lunch 2 days in a row w/ a friend. Enjoyed the fish tacos, oyster sandwich, lobster bisque, corn soup, Saltwater salad. The bread and butter they serve is wonderful too! Staff was very welcoming and kind on the first visit and not quite as much on the 2nd visit. The dressing on the... read more

We were visiting Galveston and met friends there for dinner. It was a wonderful meal and experience. Robin our waitress suggested a wine that they were going to add to the list but was featured at a low price and it was a great wine. We had a great meal and great service. We visited so long we realized we... More

We had a lovely morning wandering around Galveston looking at the architecture and arrived at this restaurant a little late at 2pm. It was quiet but we were very hungry and we were glad we stayed. The food was exceptional - the tuna tower and the breaded asparagus just great. We wanted sauvignon blanc to drink and couldn't decide so... More

We went for an early lunch and was greeted by the friendliest waitress. The food was great and it was nice to have options other than just fried or grilled!! Very impressed!

Recommended by a local, we tried it on a Friday Night. Classy place with good atmosphere and very friendly staff who seemed genuinely interested in us. Dishes were imaginative, varied and very difficult to choose from. Sadly, they seemed on the bland side. I'm not a lover of extremely spicy food, but even for my pedestrian taste, it seemed they... Get the special, doesn't matter what it is. If it sounds palatable, it's probably going to be the freshest ingredient and have the most attention to detail. Portions were very generous. The cheesy grits are good.

Great location in the Strand district. Had a light snack before the show at the Grand. Easy location, great lobster risotto. Easy walk to and from the Tremont House.

The asparagus with crab is so divine! We both ordered the red fish for dinner. Delicious. We would certainly return when in Galveston.

We really enjoyed our meal here. You could see the kitchen from where we sat. Felt like a chef's table. We both had daily specials. The portions were very large. I really enjoyed the bone in ribeye. It had lots of flavor and was enhanced by the bacon and onion jelly. My husband really enjoyed the lobster bisque. This is... More

We went here after a show at the 1894 Opera House. It's right across the street. The food was great. I have fresh tuna, and my husband had the shrimp cocktail. All of the food was very high quality, and the service was absolutely terrific. The bar makes a great martini too.
