Good Luncheon Buffet

Mario's is close to where we were staying and we had seen the signs for the luncheon buffet (M-F, 11-2), so we made a point of stopping in. We each had the buffet ($9.99 per person) plus a soda/tea ($.99). I was surprised at the variety of items available in the buffet. They seemed to keep it... read more

have not dined inside, only had delivery. Huge pizza, delicious! Wait can depend on holiday and location. Everything pretty much higher on Island but it is a Destination spot. Worth it.

We were referred to this restaurant by two completely different people and it lived up to it's hype. The view of the water sets the mood, and the food is delightful. We are from Chicago and made the bold mood to order the Chicago style deep dish pizza made with Mario's home made italian sausage. This pie was a delightful... More

I was a little nervous about eating Italian food in Galveston, but the food at Mario's was impressive! We called ahead for our party of 17 and they were able to seat us upon arrival at 8 on a Saturday night. Our server was friendly and efficient. He took great care of our large party and never seemed flustered. We... More

I was there on 2 occasions recently one for a reception where I was able to try a wide variety of options.every item I tried was great. The second floor is set up beautifully and over looks the gulf of Mexico. On my 2nd visit I had a Mario's pizza. I don't recall the name but it had lots of... More

From inside nearly everyone has a view of the Gulf of Mexico. This Mario's is great for visitors. Casual is the way to sightsee, and at Mario's it's also the way to eat. Oh, the food and drink are delicious, and there is plenty if it! Most foods are Italian style and tasty. A little change in some of the... More

I have eaten here on two different occasions. For lunch they have a buffet, which has pasta, pizzas, and a salad bar. It was an average meal at lunch and dinner. It's ok, but there are better places to dine.

From the moment we walked in...great service, friendly, just the best. Good price on wine, appetizers very tasty, and pizza wonderful. Romantic setting for two on a late Sun afternoon.

As locals we've been here more than once and the food is inconsistent. Once it was awesome, really good. Next time it was bad. Pasta was way too salty and the margarita barely even had any liquor in it, was mostly just crushed ice. Service was terrible. Gave it one more try and the food was somewhat better although still... Expensive for delivery - Ordered two pizzas for take out. One Chicago style, the joey, and the Italian. The Joey has a layer of sausage, not like crumbles, it is a sausage patty the whole size of the pie. The Italian was great.
