My husband and I had breakfast at the Mosquito Cafe this morning. The food was amazing and the atmosphere lovely. Very large portions!

As soon as we walked in we were in sweetness heaven and overwhelmed (in a good way) with all the delicious treats they had. The staff was really nice and welcoming. After a good 15 minutes of just standing htere trying to figure out what to get, we decided on the Napoleon, Vanilla Cake Ball, Sugar cookie, and Candy Cheesecake.... More

Just the smell when you walk in the door is enough to ake you never want to leave. Fresh baked breads, cookie, cakes, yum! I've heard they do beautiful and delicious cakes but as we visited on Sunday morning before church, we just got some cookies to save for later. Chocolate crinkles, coconut macaroons and chocolate chip--all delicious. I would... More

This was a favorite of our family during our stay. Cookies, cakes, breads, and all kinds of goodies. They even have gluten free, which is a plus for a couple of family members. Everything is so good!

We picked up a yummy pecan coffee cake and a couple of cookies and a cupcake as we were headed out of town. Everything was very tasty, if not a tad too sweet (which most people seem to prefer, just not me). There were no prices posted anywhere (hate that) so I guess they figure if you need to ask... More

My husband and I ate at the Mosquito Cafe and then stopped here across the street for a little treat. I had a sugar cookie in the shape of a fish, and my hubby had a huge chocolate chip cookie. The flavor of each cookie was so fresh that it had to have been made that morning! They were perfectly... More

It's always a treat to find fresh and delicious cookies, breads, cakes, nut breads, etc. when traveling. This bakery is owned by the Mosquito Cafe across the street. We liked the baked goods so much we stopped by twice while we were on the Island for just a few days!

This is a cute bakery that puts a big smile on your face the minute you walk in the door. The cakes look fantastic and a great selection of cookies. The cake balls were so moist and delicious. There were items here that I've never seen before. We especially liked all the fun colors they used when decorating the goodies.... More

If you're on Galveston Island, make sure you stop by this bakery to get some wonderful treats. The store sells a good variety of things from muffins to cake balls to whole cakes. The chocolate crinkle cookies are phenomenal, soft and chewy on the inside with a slight crunch in the outside. The apple strudel, sold whole, makes for an... More

I stopped here twice during our stay on Glaveston Island. The Almond Petit Fours were the best I have ever had. Everything we had was very good. The St. Louis Gooey bars were so good. Also had macaroon cookies and toffee cookies. What a treat. You can't go wrong here.
