Our family stops here for at least one breakfast during our annual summer trip to Galveston. The French toast with fresh cream and strawberries is my favorite, but everything we have tried is great.

You will love this breakfast, brunch, lunch cafe....off the beaten path near the Strand & the beach..lots of seating...very cute, warm, inviting interior & very sweet staff. The food was wonderful...their burger, pancakes (which were amazing), and shoosh chicken sandwich...yummy! Pricing is fair & portions can easily be shared. Cool cat, ShyKatz!

My family had breakfast here on the last day of our trip. Everything was delicious: pancakes (huge), bacon, french toast, sausage, hash browns, even the Mickey Mouse pancakes. Even the cookies were delicious (not that it wouldn't take some real effort to screw up a cookie but still). It's a family owned business with a unique, 'homey' kind of feel.... More

Ate lunch here and found it to be all what reviews said. Nice little restaurant with plenty of choices for all tastes dining area small so it can be hard to find a table when it is busy. The bread is baked there and is very good. Prices are reasonable, sandwiches large. You can up grade to a combo for... More

Our B & B host recommended this restaurant - only open for breakfast & lunch. Many of the locals think VERY highly of this place! Many salad and sandwich choices, as well as fresh baked desserts! The grilled cheese (several different kinds of cheese) & fresh tomato sandwich was a real treat! Give it a try!

Our first experience at ShyKatz Deli-Cafe was unbelievable!!! All of the food dishes we ordered were fantastic. Freshly prepared and amazingly delicious. We went around lunchtime and the place filled up fast. We were lucky to get there in time to order and find a table for the our family of five. The service and attention was unmatched anywhere else... More

If you are looking for a light lunch with a lot of fun options, try Shykatz. The decor is mismatched and homey, and the service is all focused on helping the customers customize their orders to get exactly what they want. Seems to be family-owned and operated. The desserts looked amazing, but we were too full from the creamy potato... More

On an island of really great food, this small cafe offers some of the best sandwiches and breakfast available. The homemade sweets are also incredible. While somewhat off the beaten track, the search is worth it.

Loved the food! They serve breakfast and lunch and my party wanted both so was a great fit. You order at the counter and they bring the food. Get there early as it was very busy. The ruben sandwiches were excellent as was the soup. Pancakes are some of the best. We will go back soon!
