Consistently good food! The best bartender on the Island! Reasonable prices and very New Orleans atmosphere! This locally owned restaurant is a don't miss while in Galveston! They know what they're doing with food and drinks, hospitality and pricing! We go there very often and know we can count on some good food, whether it's boudin balls, crab cakes, or... More

Had Sunday brunch at The Bisto and loved it!! They have a huge menu of various eggs benedict....even one with boudain balls!!! Excellent. Besides the good food, the owners are very welcoming and charming. It seems like a popular "locals" spot. Can't wait to try it for dinner soon. It's just off The Strand so the location is excellent too.

The food was good but not great , and the portions needed to be larger at this price level. The restaurant was not busy but the service was very, very slow! The owners were there and did help out but it was not enough. The aren't set up to handle large parties.

We enjoyed a light lunch at Bistro LeCroy, just a few blocks from the much more frantically commercial Galveston Strand. The service was very friendly and helpful (giving us to-go refills of our iced tea, for instance) and the BLT, potato salad and shrimp salad were all quite good. It's a nice location, and not part of a chain.

Food was great! Fried tomatoes and shrimp and gumbo were delicious. We also had eggs Benedict, they were good but defiantly if you come to this place order their more Cajun options. The service is exceptional without being overbearing. We went on a Sunday at around 2 so it was fairly quiet.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance of this restaurant. I will return. Great crab crepes and Eggs Benedict. Mimosa's were good and the waiter was friendly and attentive.

My family and I come to Galveston at least 4 times a year to visit and each time; we try out a different restaurant on the island. I had such high hopes for this restaurant. Read all the reviews before my family and I decided to check them out while on Memorial Day Weekend visit to Galveston. The staff was... More

Waiter was great. Great personality. Service was very slow. Gumbo lacked much seafood, mostly roux; Oysters appeared to be frozen with batter. Batter separated when eating revealing small swiveled oysters and they were tough. Will not go back.

Stumbled in to this historic little Bisstro. Had a fabulous dining experience. Best shrimp and grits I have ever had!

We stumbled across this place hunting for something less busy and more personal. Wow, we found it. They knew how to cook fresh seafood!! The attentive bartender was perfect. The owner treated us like we were longtime friends, though we had just meet. The place was sadly not busy which was confusing because the whole experience was perfect. People don't... More
