Description: Opened in January 1998 by Jorge and Antonio Oyervides and a friend, Frank Diaz, Salsas Mexican & Seafood Restaurant is their first restaurant, though the three have been in the restaurant business for more than 24 years. Salsas is located at 4604 Seawall Boulevard - and features plenty of parking, a breathtaking Gulf view from our enormous outdoor patio, and beautiful sunshine. Our fine Mexican restaurant is bright, clean and colorful. Each table features two tantalizingly-different salsas, along with crispy, light tortilla chips. The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes like chicken or beef fajitas, enchiladas and burritos, plus some not-so-traditional platters such as seafood with a south-of-the-border flair. We invite you to savor your favorite dish and enjoy our frothy, refreshing margaritas. Happy Hour is Monday thru Friday from 3pm to 7pm. Salsas offers a daily Lunch Special from 11am to 3pm Monday thru Friday. Pickup orders are welcomed; simply call ahead. We look forward to serving your entire family!Salsa's Mexican Restaurant offers a breathtaking Gulf view from our enormous outdoor patio, and beautiful sunshine. Enjoy our colorful, delicious Mexican food along with a frothy, refreshing margarita.

It was a blustery night when we stopped here after a long drive and lots of rain. I didn't really care which restaurant we ate at, I just wanted some hot food in my cold tummy. What a great bit of luck to have chosen Salsa's. When other restos we saw had few cars in the parking lot, it was... More

Service was great. We were seated cheerfully and promptly. The food was hot and good. They give you two kinds of salsa which are very good. Our waitress was very pleasant, knew her job and did great at it. Highly recommend

This place gets packed and it's noisy but it is ALL WORTH the food and drinks. I could have ate there all weekend.

Ate here the night before we left on a cruise, had 8 in our party. Place was busy, and service was a little slow....but, we really enjoyed the food. Really enjoyed the chili con queso & salsa, along with our entrees. Second time to visit here, and will probable frequent again when in the area.

Went on a Monday a little after 3pm, the place was pretty empty. Got seated immediately. Then waited about 10-15 minutes for the server to get our drink order and bring chips and salsa. About 10 minutes later got my Coke and another waiter asked my Husband what he ordered (which was a premium Margarita cost 9 dollars)...finally got the... More

I wish we could have done more to impress you, Brenda, but it's clear that our team fell short. The wait shouldn't have been that long, especially for drinks, and I apologize. I'm also sorry you weren't happier with your fajitas. Still, it's great feedback, and I appreciate it. Hope we'll have another chance to wow you next time you're... More

I AM from New Mexico and I AM a Mexican food brat! I know this. This was the second worse Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! The first is Tortuga, coincidentally also here in Galveston. I ordered a chicken burrito. Easy, que no? What I got was a slimy, soggy, glutinous , Velveta soaked sausage-like appendage filled with sugary... More

Serving up great Mexican food is our passion, so it's a shame that this didn't come through during your visit. While I can only assume that you caught us on an off night, I'll share your comments with the whole team so I can make sure we're on the right track. Until then, thanks for your honesty, and I hope... More

Driving down to Tiki Island it occurred to us that a good margarita would be the perfect weekend kick-off so we headed to Salsa's on the Galveston Seawall. The 'ritas were perfect (not that icky, ersatz or fake-flavored variety) and the food was good -- crisp chips, piquant sauces, great guacamole, tacos al carbon, and steaming carne asada. There was...
