From atmosphere to menu this restraunt brings back the memory of a simpler, time. Great home cooked breakfast and lunch. Not really the healthiest of choices but some yummy food!

We stopped here to get a sandwich on a Saturday afternoon and discovered that the lunch counter closes at 300 pm and the soda fountain closes at 400. Service wa very very poor. The place was very very much overrated. Don't believe the ratings posted on Trip Advisor.

On a girl friends trip to Galveston we stopped our touring to have lunch at the Star Drug Store. It is s a cute place with the old fashioned counter and stools as well as tables on the side. We were hot and tired. The cold drinks we got were very tasty. We then ordered various meals including sandwiches and... More

This is such a cute place with fun history. It is great for families or anyone looking for a quick cheap meal. The service was spectacular and the food was good too. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. It is walking distance to the strand.

We made a point of trying breakfast here and we were sorely disappointed in both the food and the service. The servers were indifferent and when we got our food the french toast was soggy in the middle and the sausage was the rubbery low quality fast food type. It just didn't seem like anyone cared very much. The building... More

Came in for a late breakfast. Around 9.30ish so we were pretty much the only customers. Had the pancakes & bacon, my wife had the eggs. Lovely fresh cooked food (bacon a little greasy if I'm nitpicking). Coffee was good & the atmos/decor is lovely. Definitely recommend.

Such a cute restaurant that seemed to be a fun place for a burger and shake with the grandsons. However, the waitress' curt attitude immediately sent up a red flag. We gave our food order and as we started to give her our shakes order, she told us someone else would come get that. Waited for quite a long time... More

I've been here several times before and found it to be a great old fashioned drug store with good food. However, this time, I had the special, barbeque sandwich and chips. The waitress was very slow coming to take our orders and she seemed inattentive. Had to flag her down to get refills and then to get the check. The... More

This was probably the best bargain (meal wise) that we had. The breakfast eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns and toast were delicious. There is an old fashion soda fountain with old fashion drinks. Check this place out for breakfast or lunch. It's an experience just walking in. The food is great and the service is wonderful. The music will take... More
