Do not order the "crab cakes". They are mostly celery and not diced celery, but celery chunks. I did find 1 bite of crab in 1 of the "crab cakes". Otherwise it was all filler and celery. Plus my order came out with the wrong side and had to wait for them to scrape the asparagus off my plate and... More

Walking distance to Lighthouse Inn. Lots of variety. The brisket tacos were great, as well as shrimp wrapped bacon. Great watermelon margaritas.

We eat here all the time and nothing is ever the same. It will be fabulous one time and then the next time nothing is right. On our recent visit they were hammering the whole time on a Sunday afternoon. The Moon Dog burger is our favorite, if the supplier had delivered the meat that week. Beer is not always... More

Location of the Moon Dog is excellent. It's right by the water and it offers inside and outside eating. This is not a fancy upscale restaurant. If you're looking for that then you should go somewhere else. The Moon Dog Seaside Eatery is a simple place for people enjoying a superb indoor/outdoor location, great views, good food, and adventurous path... More

The food was good and our well-meaning waiter tried to be accommodating. The service, not the food timing, was slow. The location, near a shrimp boat harbor, had a delightful atmosphere. We even spotted a dolphin.

We chose Moon Dog because it was recommended as dog friendly (on the patio). The route to the patio with a pet, however, was around the back or side of the building; and, if what was on that path made the basis of your visit, you’d turn right around. In fact, the view from the parking in front and the... More

after reading many reviews i was a little worried about this place. my husband and son are very simple eaters. we really enjoyed the food! there's nothing fancy here, but everything was homemade. my husband and i ordered the fried shrimp. it wasn't your normal fried shrimp with a heavy batter. it was light and flavorful. my son ordered the... This restaurant sits right on the water and the view and the seaside breeze is just wonderful! The location is probably the best feature of the place. They are undergoing an expansions, so it will be a bit disorganized for a while. The one thing on their menu that is OUTSTANDING is the brisket nachos. Basically, it is a large... More

I just went here tonight for my bachelorette party (long story, wouldn't come back...) and from the beginning, we should have known that we wouldn't like it. I think they are undergoing an expansion and at the front door, they lead you through an unfinished room with plywood walls and down a small set of stairs into the restaurant. We... More

We (boys 12 & 13, hubby, and me) were in town over night and wanted to eat fresh seafood. The hotel staff recommended this place. First off, the atmosphere does have a cool look and feel and the staff was friendly. It was lunch time. We sat outside on the deck. The menu did not have a great selection of... More
