Good quick-bite Mexican food

Chips & salsa bar was great-loved the fresh salsas (not the bottled variety). The chicken tortilla soup was very good, lots of flavor. And last, but not least, the soft tacos were very good, and the brisket was tender. Btw, the pulled brisket was a definite 'have again'. Worth another visit when... read more

My family and I enjoyed another delicious meal at Tin Star during our recent trip back to Texas. The kids got excited as soon as we walked in the door, as Tin Star had a man making intricate balloon animals for free! The brisket taco was every bit as good as I remembered and the buffalo chicken taco was bursting... More

We have always enjoyed our visits to Tin Star, but haven't been back recently. ..and now we low we won't be back again at all---at least not to the Frisco location. When we first arrived for a quick lunch, we had to wait for someone to show up to take our order. After the girl took our order, she had... More

We love this place. Salsa & chips are free with meal. Lots of taco options. My fav is not on menu but they still make it: Morgan's Poolside. It has chicken, avocado, sweet potato strings & black beans. They have great quesadillas too

Really good Mexican restaurant which is in between fast food and sit down. Everything was very fresh and flavorful.

We used to love this place! Excellent range of really tasty tacos, well-made and good value for money. A bustling but pleasant place that had a real 'buzz' about it. But this last time we were very disappointed. Very few people in - and it soon became obvious why. Their #6 BBQ Pork Special has usually been a great option... More

I'm not a huge tex-mex fan, but Tin Star still has some cheeseburger tacos for me. I really like their fries. My friends love the complimentary salsa bar in the back. One of my friends says the corn salsa is amazing. Prompt service and tasty food.

Okay so one of my favorite things about this place is that kids eat free at dinner on Sundays and Wednesdays. You can't beat that! I have had almost all of their tacos and have never been disappointed. All of the tex-mex food here is pretty darn tastey. My father ordered the chicken fried steak once and wasn't thrilled with... I leave town for 4 years and one of my old favorites is in need of a freshening up. So many people have come through this location that it is worn and dirty looking now. The food is still good but not great as it once was...or is it the atmosphere that really turned me off from the food? There... More

Stopped by this past weekend to try something different in the Frisco area. Had the breakfast tacos and they were pretty good. Not as large as I expected for $2.99 each. Queso was awesome and the coffee was freshly brewed.
