Description: Step into the relaxed lively atmosphere of an authentic Parisian bistro and sidewalk cafe. Bonnie Ruth’s Café Trottoir pays homage to the classic 'French Bistro'. Dine on Steak Frites, Moules Marnière, and Duck Leg Confit. Sip a cocktail at our Belle Époque style bar. Happy Hour All Night on Monday beginning at 4:00. Thursday Ladies night in the bar & cocktail area. Join us for Sunday Brunch and eggs benedict on the patio near the fire place, handmade blueberry cream cheese crepes under the rotunda by the fountain or an omelet with a mimosa in the sun. "The vibe is undeniably French A starter of moules Marnière was served in a daunting cast-iron skillet, where dozens of plump Prince Edward Island mussels lay tumbled in a bath of butter, garlic, white wine and lemon juice. The seafood was fresh and firm, just barely infused with the essence of the fragrant broth that surrounded it. Another stunning entree was the skate Grenobloise." Kim Harwell Dallas Morning News

For us, this is the suburban equivalent of an upscale "Cheers". It is a given that at some point during the week, we will end up here - either on a parent-only date night, with our boys, or as a party of six when the grandparents join us - as they often do. This place supports all of those experiences,... More

My wife and I enjoy the ambience, the menu has depth and the wine selection is good. We make it our date night location at least once a week.

Had such a lovely evening at Bonnie Ruth's that I want to share the experience. The weather was perfect for a night on the patio, which is surprisingly quiet and private. Very nice wine list. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed the calamari, which was the best we have found in the area. Ahi tuna was nicely prepared.... More

Went to Bonnie Ruth's on 8/12/12. We sat outside, which I highly recommend if the weather is nice. The Sunday brunch buffet offers a variety of food from chicken, pasta and mussels to French toast, eggs, sausage and bacon. They also have a wonderful dessert selection. Don't miss out on the French toast or the stuffed crepes, they were both... More

Our first visit - but definitely not our last - to Bonnie Ruth's. Truly exceptional. The menu is well rounded, offering something for everyone - and everything our party ordered was very fresh, nicely prepared and beautifully presented! The service is very personable - the waiter very knowledgeable and able to answer questions & offer many suggestions. The atmosphere in... More

The cuisine is magnifique! Good wine list. Good atmosphere. Good bartender AND if you're enjoying a RARE night on the town - the clientele can be, more often than not, filled with attractive members of the better sex. If you're looking for a good steak, I strongly suggest the filet with blue cheese or for lighter fare, try the chicken... More

My daughter celebrated her 16th birthday there with family and friends. The menu was varied enough that the kids could sample French food but they could also order American entrees as well. Desserts were very good as were the pizzas. The French onion soup was a little bland and sweet but, otherwise, no complaints about the food. The restaurant was... More
