Step into the relaxed sophistication of an authentic Parisian bistro and sidewalk cafe. Bonnie Ruth’s Café Trottoir et Patisserie pays homage to the classic 'French Bistro'. Dine on Steak Frites, Moules Marnière, and Duck Leg Confit. Sip a classic cocktail at our Belle Époque style bar. Join us for Sunday Brunch and eggs benedict on the patio near the fire place, handmade blueberry cream cheese crepes under the rotunda by the fountain or an omelet with a mimosa in the sun. "The vibe is undeniably French A starter of moules Marnière was served in a daunting cast-iron skillet, where dozens of plump Prince Edward Island mussels lay tumbled in a bath of butter, garlic, white wine and lemon juice. The seafood was fresh and firm, just barely infused with the essence of the fragrant broth that surrounded it. Another stunning entree was the skate Grenobloise."

Carrot Cupcake review

We had been to dinner at the nearby Tupy's,and were so full, but we were curious about this retstaurant. It looks like it would be a good place for coffee, lunch, a romantic conversation, or dinner. Properly prepared mussels are hard to find in the Frisco area. We love the mussel pots at Bonnie Ruth's and the prices are very reasonable. Their service is good most of the time. We have also eaten at their Sunday Brunch buffet. They include several of their specialties and the buffet is well worth the price.

Visited at lunch on a weekday for the first time. I chose the lunch special for $8.95. Soup and sandwich. The potato soup came in a crock that was more than a cup and the sandwich was a full croissant sandwich. Both very good! I thought the value was excellent. We will return for dinner!

I have been here for weekday lunch and dinners before and the food here is pretty good. Not the best but fair enough to come back since it is close by. Sometimes for dinner they have live music so it's a great place to have some wine, eat dinner and relax. Now their brunch is pretty awesome. It is buffet... More

This was my first visit. I cam in was given a seat and promptly waited for about 10 minutes as I watched about 4 waiters behind the bar looking at something. Even when the head waiter saw me craning my neck to look for service, twice, he did nothing. Finally a waiter came and I ordered. The bread was slightly... More

We have been here for the brunch before and it was great in every way. This time service was not as smooth and the food was not near as good. You would think a patisserie would serve fresh baked goods not frozen Sam's Club type stuff. Also they do not let you know that drinks are extra, they act like... More

Went here for Saturday brunch and was impressed. Opens at 10 and we got there at opening, and it was a good thing because they filled up quickly. They have a menu a brunch, but the bargain is the buffet. With fruit, scrambles (plain/Denver), bacon, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, muffins, crepes, French toast and pancakes as well as individual eggs Benedict (brought... More

Every meal I've had at Bonnie Ruth's has been excellent! From the steak to the hamburgers to the desserts, all the food is all great! We took some friends & they said Bonnie Ruth's French Onion soup was the best they have ever eaten. Great place for lunch or dinner!

Most items we have tried are very good but a favorite is the skillet of mussels. Also the lamb lollipops are great as well.
