Excellent South Indian Food, Nice Ambiance, Friendly Service

We landed in DFW area few months ago. We were on a spree checking out various restaurants in the area and we found this hidden Treasure !!! My Family (2+2) went there for Dinner on a Saturday evening. The Place had waiting of approx. 30 Minutes. Even though Kids were really hungry, we decided to... read more

After Chennai Cafe was moved to the new location, Food quality has gone down south. Just save your time and money. This place is not the same like it used to be. I am pretty sure chef has changed.

We went on a Saturday night, and that was a mistake, based on our recent weekday experience. The food still is great but the poor to non-existent service made things much less enjoyable this time. The place was packed at 8:30 p.m. with at least one huge group. The staff and kitchen were overwhelmed. We saw our waiter only to... More

One of the best chettinaad and tamil cuisine! If you are visiting during the weekends, you may want to make a reservation. Its worth the wait! Mutton (goat) pepper fry is so good that I cant think of eating anything else when i go here :(

You get the best tasting authentic South Indian food. I don't think there is any other indian restaurant in town that can compete with them

We visited their new location on a recent trip to Plano and were quite impressed with the decor and the quality of food. They don't have liquor licence yet, so it is BYOB right now. We, party of four, started off with Daal Vada and Madurai Chili Chicken for appetizers, and they both were excellent. Chili Chicken was quite peppery... More

Went to their new location which is a large, high-ceiling, airy room. Lots of space between tables. Excellent service staff. Had a really nice veg combo with excellent Khichdi and sauces. Then shared a chicken and a goat curry dish. If you want to experience some very good Indian food, this is the place!

This a very attractive and well managed Indian restaurant. Our food and service were very good and it's large enough that you don't feel like you're sitting on top of other diners, even when it's busy. Please note new location - NW quadrant of Preston and Gaylord in Plano. It's BYOB untl they get their liquor license.

The food was quite good, although a bit on the spicy side. They should ask how spicy you want it before they take your order. The prices were quite reasonable too.

A wonderfully authentic meal. Extremely friendly staff and an extensive menu. Try the Chicken Chettinad for a taste explosion. Large portions at great prices in a family friendly atmosphere. A great sign of a good Indian yrestaurant is the large number of diners with Indian ancestry who were there. And a bonus that they are BYOB. Try it...you'll love it.
