We tried them for the first time today. It was difficult to even find the entrance. No menus just choose you style of chicken. The sides of salad, mash potatoes, creamed corn, and bacon green beans were all tasty. We had the smoked chicken. All in all a good home style family style joint.

This is the second Babes we have dined at. The first was in Sanger, and we were hooked. Ate at this one in Frisco and the food was still excellent, and I think the service actually was better than the food. Wonderful place to have a home cooked meal!!!!!!!!!!!

If you love fried chicken and mashed potatoes, this is the place for you. Certainly isn't for someone trying to diet, but wow the food is great!! It is a very casual place, served family style. As an added bonus, there are places right outside for great photo ops. Head over to the train that is just to the east... More

We take our family here every year during the Thanksgiving weekend. Everyone from 2-80 loves this place. Casual fun and delicious food served family style. The main meats are a limited choice, but every one of them is fabulously good. Our fav is the smoked chicken. My granddaughter-in-law loves the chicken fried steak, though it is large enough for a... I've heard about Babe's for years! I just knew that if I went the first time I'd want to frequent the place. I've smelled the chicken frying and biscuits baking many times. The people at Babe's are very nice so I hate to dis the place, but yuck! Greasy, salty, canned vega (if not, they sure taste like it). It... More

Fried Chicken,++ no guessing here what to eat. Fun family orientated restaurant, kids will love the interactive dancing! You'll not want dessert BUT take a piece home...yummy! Couple of negatives: Don't come here if you're gonna discuss business quite loud with conservation over the music and get there early as they do not take reservations!

Babe's is know for their fried chicken and chicken fried steak but they also have a healthier choice of hickory smoked chicken that is very good too. Come with a big appetite. And if you come during peek hours expect a wait.

I love the down-home atmosphere and wanted to love the food, but it is really, really salty. I like seasoning and salt is no problem for me, but with most items it was noticeable and took away from the enjoyment of the food. Not sure I can get past it. I'd need a gallon of tea with each bite to... More

The Hart Parr Tractor out front tips you off that you are about to experience Southern Home Cooking in a unique setting. Lots of old stuff, antiques, and clever signs surround the outside waiting area. The food starts with a salad of greens then choose from Fried Chicken, Fried Chicken Strips, Smoked Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Catfish, or Pot... More

My wife and I were traveling to Dallas we she wanted to stop at a couple of store, go figure right!? Well, I'm glad we did since we ate at babes. Didn't know the menu nor the prices prior to ordering. A great meal for us, a great atmosphere, and our waitress was very friendly. A nice dinner for two... More
