At first glance, the place is easy to miss. It is in the back of a nondescript gas station. My hubby, who is sometimes a whiner about trying new things was skeptical. Glad I didn't listen to him and we went in. It was super yummy and very reasonable. I got the meatloaf which was the special of the day... More

The Depot Cafe is a must on the bucket list!! Hidden downtown in the back of a service station, it will fulfill everyone's imagination for down home country cookin'!! The locals call this restaurant home. The grits, sausage gravy over homemade country biscuits with a side order of unbelievable lite fluffy pancakes is highly recommended. You must try their fried... A lot of locals enjoy this restaurant on a regular bases. I have had breakfast there many times. The oatmeal is very good and generous with brown sugar and almonds on the side. Eggs over easy are always cooked just long enough and the breakfast tacos are tasty with the verde sauce on the side. The verde sauce is spicy!

as a NJ guy this is as good as a Jersey Dinner. Old south breakfast with fresh biscuit, (add your own honey), grits are perfect. Get white gravy on the side, they give you a small bowl filled to the top. The atmosphere is authentic Texas. I go here every time I visit Dallas and recommend this place to anyone... More

A friend of mine recommended The Depot to me a while back, and in thinking about a place to eat breakfast a few weeks ago, I remembered it! The cafe is very small. Doesnt have a lot of tables, but they have enough. The prices were reasonable. The food could have been a little better. My scrambled eggs were a... More

We always look for a place to eat after Bible study. It's hard finding places at lunch time for a group of 8-10. I came across the restaurant by reading reviews on 3 different review sites. I'm glad we chose to try it! I had the salad, friends had hamburger, chicken strips, grilled ham and cheese sandwich, french fries, okra... More

Who knew? It always looked like a gas station and convenience store the many times I drove down Frisco's Main Street. It's where I had picked up a day laborer or 2 for home projects. That's the way it started 55 years ago when all Frisco had was a spotty Main Street surrounded by a dozen homes. But then when... More

My wife and I had lunch after reading many reviews. It was great - especially since you could have four legs! Or two breasts - all for the same low fare. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I loved this little diner! Tucked away behind the Exxon station in downtown Frisco, this is the place for you if you like fried food! Fried catfish, fried okra, chicken fried steak, you name it! Loved the fried catfish. Going to try the very large and yummy looking burger next time. Order at the counter, they give you a number,... More

This place has awesome breakfasts! Eggs are always perfectly cooked to order, country potatoes are fresh and seasoned well with just ethe right amount of onion and bell pepper, and I cant say enough about the buttery toast- think they do it on the griddle. My wife and I also agree that the pancakes are the best around. All that... More
