It was an adventure trying to locate, but well worth the effort. Burgers and fries were wonderful. But just as tasty was the Roasted Garlic and Goat Cheese. Eclectic menu in a wonderful laid back atmosphere. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Choice of buns and 1/2 lb of hamburger! Try the jalapeno buns, not hot but delicious! 1/2 order of fries is great for 2 ladies or over 65! You pick your drinks from around the room. Very laid back atmosphere! Off the beaten path!!

This restaurant has such great burgers! It's a very pretty trip from Fredericksburg, well worth the 20-25 minute drive! This place is near the entrance to Old Tunnel State Park.

Other reviews said third best burger in Texas. How good could it be? I wondered. A M A Z I N G . Best burger of my life to date. GO! It's in the middle of nowhere and crowded. Now you know why. Ambiance, charm, Excellent service and wonderful, beyond friendly people work there. GO! the drive is worth it.

This place is waaaaaaay deep in the Hill Country. I think between Boerne and Comfort off of Old 9 Road. But well worth the drive. The place is perfect Texana, the folks were precious and the food was beyond words. Perfectly cooked burger and onion rings. But be sure to try an appetizer of fried green beans. Amazing. This spot... More

For pure Texana there is nothing like these beer and burger outposts that usually require some planning and a GPS to get to and maybe even a roadtrip or daytrip depending on your point of origin if the place has a good reputation. Well let me tell you that the reputation of Mike's rustic roadhouse is sterling. Burgers are what... More

Best burger in Texas, well worth the drive to the country and drive is scenic. About 20 miles out of Fredericksburg.

Not only do they make the best hamburgers in Texas, per a couple of Texas magazines & my husband, but the other food is great too. My favorite is the Shrimp PoBoy & the homemade desserts. The Key Lime Pie is to die for! This place is a little drive to get to but the ride is very scenic &... More

This wonderful "roadhouse" hidden away in the countryside on the least traveled road you can imagine is a true delight. Very pleasant staff, fun atmosphere, great food -- both delicious staples like burgers and unusual items like deep fried avocados -- and a surprising array of wines and beers. Worth a trip for the food, and equally for the experience.... More
