Yum!

First, don't expect this to be in Fredericksburg proper. It is about 20 minutes outside of Fredericksburg right by a park called Old Tunnel Park. We went down 89 heading out of town, then cut across a road about ten miles out called Old Grey Creek Road. We loved that part of the drive, very pretty... read more

Great stop on a loop trip from Fredericksburg. The four of us log the food and the atmosphere. What a gem in the Texas Hill Country!

We had to go to Alamo Springs Cafe while we were on Spring Break. The family members that had not eaten here previously were not disappointed with the burgers and the sides. Homemade onion rings, garlic and goat cheese on toast and great burgers, don't miss the jalapeño cheese buns.

Best hamburger in this Big State! Check out the photos in Texas Monthly Magazine! Everything you ever wanted on a burger can be added to your delight! Awesome skinny salty fries and huge hand breaded onion rings! It is worth the hill country drive to this remote spot!

Yes, it is quite a drive out there. Our GPS seemed to take us the long way around, but were able to see some really beautiful country that was off the beaten path. We ordered the hamburgers with jalapeno cheese buns, but they came out with regular buns. The hamburger patty was delicious. The fries and onion rings were disappointing...... More

3 stars for the food but bumped it up for the ambiance! Alamo Springs is a 15 minute drive outside of Fredricksburg but worth it for the kitsch factor. Ordered fried pickle sticks (awesome, by the way!), onion rings (good), and battered fries (just eh). The kids had chicken tenders (both said they were tasteless...I told them to dip them... More

The restaurant is in the middle of nowhere on a dead end street and is totally worth the drive! It's a friendly little dive where they treat you like they've known you forever. The burgers are phenomenal and the fries were great. The onion rings are seasoned with basil which gives them a unique taste. Great restaurant!

I was told by my friends to go here when my boyfriend and I visited Fredericksburg because they had the BEST burgers..... They were right. Eating is my hobby (lol), I've had lots of burgers and this was by far the BEST ever. It's soooo yummy and juicy it runs down your hands! That's the sign of a great burger.... More

We eat at Alamo Springs every time we go to the Hill Country. This time they accommodated 26 of us with no problem. Mercedez was awesome and took care of our whole crew without missing a beat!!! The food was as expected! Awesome burgers, but you must order the Jalapeno cheese bun to get the full flavor! Great onion rings... More
