Awesome Burgers

If you are lost or coming to watch the bats leave the train tunnel or just taking a drive down the unbeaten path in the Hill Country, you need to stop in at the Cafe. Everything is cooked after you order it. Oh be prepared to wait. They are not quick (which they brag about) but it is worth the... read more

Awesome as usual. The burgers is big and juicy, home made bun, hand dipped onion rings, and the battered french fries were wonderful. Very generous portions. Great atmosphere and wait staff.

We were told to go to this little out of the way restaurant by a co-worker. She told us how amaing their food was, so we headed to the hill country of Texas last weekend. We were NOT disappointed. When we arrived we chose an outside table. You serve yourself drinks, they have Soda, Water, Beer and Wine. It's ALL... More

I had never been to this cafe and I had never heard about it before driving there 2 nights ago. My wife knew about it and wanted to try it so off we went. Upon entering, I noticed the grill while walking to our table. I saw an entire grill packed with 2

First, don't expect this to be in Fredericksburg proper. It is about 20 minutes outside of Fredericksburg right by a park called Old Tunnel Park. We went down 89 heading out of town, then cut across a road about ten miles out called Old Grey Creek Road. We loved that part of the drive, very pretty farmland with some neat... More

Great stop on a loop trip from Fredericksburg. The four of us log the food and the atmosphere. What a gem in the Texas Hill Country!

We had to go to Alamo Springs Cafe while we were on Spring Break. The family members that had not eaten here previously were not disappointed with the burgers and the sides. Homemade onion rings, garlic and goat cheese on toast and great burgers, don't miss the jalapeño cheese buns.

Best hamburger in this Big State! Check out the photos in Texas Monthly Magazine! Everything you ever wanted on a burger can be added to your delight! Awesome skinny salty fries and huge hand breaded onion rings! It is worth the hill country drive to this remote spot!
