This place is worth the trip and definitely has the tastiest burger around. Cheerful atmosphere and great service!!! Self serve beer and wine is unique.

This place was so good, we had to visit twice while vacationing in Fredericksburg. First I called on the phone, about mid-afternoon, to ask questions and the lady who answered was very friendly and helpful. From Fredericksburg, it's only about a 20 minute drive in the country, but the scenic drive is beautiful. The servers were all friendly and attentive... More

Great evening and beautiful drive to the restaurant! The hamburgers are HUGE and full of flavor. You're there for the food and will not be disappointed. In the Summer buy $5 tickets for the lower level seating at the Old Tunnel State Park around 6p.m. Then go around the corner to Alamo Springs Cafe for dinner. Return to the park... More

Old San Antonio Rd (which Alamo Springs Cafe is off of on Alamo Rd) is a great back country ride - especially on motorcycle. It's just south of Bikini's and a few miles from Luckenbach, Comfort and Fredericksburg. While the burgers are very good, the have daily dinner specials that begin at 6. The Sunday Chicken Fried Steak is one... More

We love this place - this is our second time we have been and both times it was awesome. Be sure and get the jal cheese bun with your burger.

I'll give this place credit for atmosphere and friendly staff. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere, which is what gives it great charm. It's a beautiful drive up there and it's located right by the tunnel where the bats come out at night. Apparently they have live music on the weekends, Saturday night looked crowded. We came up... I don't need to say much. Easily the best burger in Texas, if not the world. The chocolate pecan pie is also worth the trip.

We frequent Alamo Springs Café a couple times a month as a family. My husband goes at least once a week. We love it that much! The burgers are wonderful- if you like over cooked, flat hamburgers- this is NOT your place. You customize your own burger- the more stuff you add, the taller and harder it will be to... More

We went to the Old Tunnel State Park to watch the bats come out. We stopped at this little spot just before dark and had the best burger I have had in YEARS! Jalapeno cheese bread bun. Great bacon. Fantastic onion rings. For less than $20 my wife and I ate dinner and we were treated to a 10 on... More

A bit of a challenge driving the narrow, winding country roads but well worth it. I had a cheeseburger on homemade jalapeño cheese bun and hubs had a shrimp poboy. Both delicious! They were out of onion rings (closing time) so we settled on the homemade chips and ranch dressing that were out of this world! One star off for... More
