Went here after viewing the bats and Old Tunnel State Park as they are close together. Fun place. Excellent servers. It's a lot of food so plan on sharing. We ordered the onion rings and gave over half to the table next to us. It was hopping all night and the food is why. It is in the middle of... More

We ate inside as no one was serving outside that was a mistake. when leaving we felt greasy from the fryers, the food was really good our service was impeccable but the grease, we had to put our clothes on the back porch to air out when we got back to the ed and breakfast and take a shower.

Service suffered getting caught in the rush before the bats emerged from Tunnel park just below the restaurant (great combining the two). The burger was almost like a giant meatball, but very good. Loved the homemade chips, and ate the leftovers back at our B&B until I could eat no more. Fun place. Would go back - - and we... More

My wife and I ate here on 09-31-14. We had intended to eat breakfast but got there around 11:30 A.M. This place is a classic and worth going to. I ordered a cheeseburger with mushrooms, bacon, and green chilies along with onion rings. I prefer the thinner ones but these were delicious. The burger was about a 20 napkin one.... More

I'm a glutton for punishment because the food is to die for. It's a bit of a drive from town and there's always a long wait. There is no comfortable place to wait. It's hot and there's no extra air conditioned space. This time we called ahead because we had a large party (of ten) and they had a table... More

This is a diet buster stop. The onion rings are the best I've had in a long time. The burger is worth the wait. If you go late enough in the afternoon you can stick around for the bats in Old Tunnel.

We went there to try to grab a bite before going to Enchanted Rock, and we got there after traveling through back roads and ranches too late, so we decided to go since we were on the clock for daylight. So we did not try any if the food, I just wanted to comment how in the middle of nowhere... More

Celebrated 60th wedding anniversary for family this weekend and went to Alamo Springs after formal celebration. Table for 12 was not a problem with a reservation. As always, excellent burgers and accompaniments. Fried avocado was great as were onion rings. One of the few aces that has honor system for wine and beer. Nice trusting touch. Hope people do not... Made the 20 min drive out to Alamo Springs and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was super friendly. Burgers were fantastic. The spicy fries and onion rings were out of this world. Make the drive and check this place out!
