Great Burger in the middle of nowhere

At first sight we weren't sure about this place. But, once inside, it was obvious we picked a good eatery. The atmosphere was old style, the waitress friendly, and the food tremendous. Have not had a better burger!

We arrived in time to get a nice big table outside, watch the bats come out of the cave, drink beer and enjoy some awesome food. Fun night, great band and wait staff... This place is cool!

My husband and I went here on a whim and man were we glad we did! Awesome bread, awesome cheese, great meat awesome fries and fresh veggies. If you're a thin burger person this place is not for you- 1/2 pound burgers served somewhere between medium and medium well. Drinks are self serve on an honor system and you get... More

Hamburgers with 1/2 pound of meat, home made fries, soft drinks, beer, and a variety of other foods! Service is great when there is no line...but lines tend to be long on weekends!

Finally got a chance to try this place. Nice little drive through the countryside and worth every turn. Place was almost full when we got there but got a table. Beer is iced down in coolers and other drinks are 'help yourself'. Service was fast as well as food delivery. One of the best burgers I have had in a... More

Let me start out by saying this restaurant isn't actually in Fredericksburg proper. It's about 15 miles out of town, on a two lane road between Fredericksburg and Comfort. We actually pulled over to call to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I had read other reviews that addressed how big the burgers are. At the waitress'... More

The hamburgers were cooked to perfection and the onion rings were the best I have ever had. Great service from the staff! The ONLY complaint is we sat outside and the flys were out of control. Would suggest taking any measures to help keep flys away!

Recommended by a friend for lunch. Outstanding burgers! Cooked on an old-fashioned flat top to save all those flavors. The bun was a cheesy jalapeno masterpiece with no hint of spice, just flavor. My wife and I split the burger and had half/half fries and rings. Good thing we split so we could have the homemade pies for dessert. Off... More

Went here with friends and we all wanted hamburgers, but they were so big we had to share. I shared a bacon, blue cheese and roasted garlic hamburger that was so good. We also had a basket with fries and onion rings both were good but the fried were a little soggy. The place gets real busy so be prepared... More

These are the most amazing hamburgers and onion rings you will ever have. The hamburgers are ground fresh and taste like it. The onion rings are huge and the best I have ever had. The roasted garlic and goat cheese appetizer is a must if you have more than 3 in your group. If you are in a hurry don't... More
