This place is in the middle of nowhere (near Luckenbach. TX. It is a ratty looking place but we decided to give it a go because it had good reviews. Sure enough, we were delighted with our burgers. They were some of the best we have ever had. The meat is cooked on a cast iron grill and it was... More

We searched this place out after reading so much about the cheeseburgers. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon when we arrived but easily found a table. We ordered and 50 minutes later our food arrived. My veggie sandwich was yummy and my husband said his cheeseburger was very good. If you don't mind the very l-o-n-g wait for food,... More

My favorite place near Fredericksburg or Kerrville, we had a sibling weekend in Fredericksburg with my wife's siblings and their spouses. We warned them about the size of the Burgers to no avail, my wife and I split a regular along with fries or onion rings. There is a large selection of beers along with other drinks. This visit we... Finally got to Alamo Springs on our last trip to Fredericksburg. It was a rainy night in the middle of the week and we were one of two tables. This is not fast food, so be prepared to wait for your food to be prepared. We both had hamburgers and shared a half & half order of onion rings and... More

Great place with a great burger. Cooked my burger just the way I like me, medium rare. Had a half and half order of fries and onion rings, should have done an entire basket of the onion rings they were so good. The serve yourself beer cooler on the honor system is a really cool thing. Yes you have to... More

Came upon this great spot on my way from Corpus to Coleman. A random spot on the road with the lot full of cars. I always eat where the cars are when traveling. From the traffic, it seemed like there was a lot of Fredericksburg visitors dining here. The place was packed, but I was able to squeeze into a... More

Alamo Springs is that kind of place you always look forward to going to no mater how often you have been. I live in Fredericksburg, which is not far from there, so my wife and I go quite often. Usually 2 to 3 times a month. I have been going there for many years, actually since they first opened, so... More

We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday evening and enjoyed burgers outside near the bandstand. The burgers were indeed delicious, onion rings were huge and very good, but the fries were greasy and limp. We snagged a table outside near the bandstand; enjoyed the band (sorry forgot the name), and chilled out with perfect weather. Waiter was attentive even though... More

Alamo Springs Café essentially defines the term "hole in the wall treasure". I've visited perhaps 20 times with friends and family, and no one has come away disappointed. Their burgers are some of the best I've had, anywhere, any time. Just go! One note - the main road to Alamo Springs off of US 290 is temporarily closed at this... More

We stumbled upon this place while riding our Harley through the hill country. Food is excellent and atmosphere is good. The only downfall is it takes a while to get your food. The hamburgers are hand made fresh and are 1/2 pound. The onion rings are great and will feed 2 to 3 people. I highly recommend this place
