Nice Dinner - Overpriced!

The Navajo Grill is conveniently located on East Main (290) in Fredericksburg, TX. We opened the Navajo Grill, with other groups at 5:30PM, New Year's Eve. They did open early to accommodate those that had other plans for the evening. The wait staff were preparing for the evening rush, but... read more

My husband and I wanted to have a special dinner during our visit to Fredericksburg and we chose the Navajo Grill because we had heard it was good. The ambiance was very nice, but even though they were not busy, the service was slow. When our meal arrived my husband's quail was overcooked on one side and undercooked on the... More

This is our 8th time to Navajo Grill and each time, it is fabulous and just a wonderful dining experience. Easy to talk and the waiter is always superb in service. The menu is always changing and we find something always to enjoy.

Great food and service. The menu has a variety of selections. Upscale atmosphere and friendly staff. Ample parking. Great wine selection.

While the atmosphere was nice, the food selection on the menu was very limited and pricey. On top of the limited menu, the waiter informed my husband and me that at least four menu items weren't available. We ended up ordering an appetizer salad and some gumbo to the tune of $40. We will be trying our luck at another... More

We have had historically great meals at the original location of this restaurant. However, after a wait of at least an hour, we had to ask for our appetizers. The bread was stale, and although the pancakes are okay, I couldn't escape the feeling of eating someone's leftovers. When the two signature dishes arrived, they consisted of a plate lined... More

I hate to write a bad review, but my husband got food poisoning here from the crabcakes! The wine selection was good, atmosphere was great. My dish was great, but my husband was sick all night & the next day! He had a steak with heavy sauce & crabcakes. Don't know which made him sick but its bad when you... More

The food is well prepared at the Navajo Grill, but the menu leans heavily on beef and game items, and has a comparatively small selection of chicken and fish entrees. The wine list is high for the area, without a range of price points. Nice ambiance, fairly good service, but not a great value.

What a lovely experience! A high school friend and I meet in Fredricksburg yearly. We finally found a perfect cabin and now we've found one of our favorite places to dine. Everything about our meal was perfect...the wait staff, timing of our courses, the wine and, of course, the food. Their signature dish of shrimp was excellent as were our... More

I am too annoyed to type out what happened. Bad service. Bad food. Took forever to get our food. My kids were miserable and hungry but wouldn't even eat any of the food due to the awful flavors. My kids love steak and seafood and salad. They hated the salad, the shrimp, and the steak. I did too. Highly disappointed.
