Description: Eating in a garden environment, with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs...
Eating in a garden environment, with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs, is unique these days. What is even more unique is a talented young chef who prepares food with a passion. This fine restaurant is setting standards found only in a few of the larger cities. The historic rock house, built in the late 1890s provides the core of the restaurant.

Delightful Secret Garden

We were in Fredericksburg on a wine tasting tour with friends. After hitting a couple wineries we decided we'd better stop for lunch. The Farm Haus could not have been a better choice. The Farm Haus is a garden retreat several blocks off the main street. It includes B&B Cottages, a spa... read more

we had a dinner party here on New Years Eve and was very impressed . So we decided to try it again to see if it was as good as we thought it was.. It was even better. The ambiance was perfect for a quite dinner with friends and conversation. It is tucked away from the traffic looking out on... More

Very good food, but : portions are a bit small, soulless, cookie cutter. Think NeimanMarcus and "ladies who lunch" . Nothing to soften sound which makes the atmosphere sharp and cold. Would i return? Only if coerced. Owned by the same group that has the altogether excellent Hanger Hotel. A very attractive ladies venue. Men will be disappointed.

This is a surprising find in the country. Loved the ambience and dedicated wait staff. Nothing hurried. Fantastic French Onion Soup and BLT Salad.

Grounds were beautiful. We were greeted and served wonderfully. But with "haus" in the name I had certain expectations and that's why I went. The menu was very limited, and nothing German. But each of us found something that sounded good and each turned out to be delicious. So I'm not complaining as much as advising those that come after... More

Eaten here several times over the years as recently as yesterday and it is our favorite place to enjoy the beauty and taste of the Hill Country. We had an omelet, a BLT salad and onion soup, and all were delicious. We enjoyed a cocktail before and with lunch, myself a $10 bloody mary and the wife a lemon drop... More

Had dinner here based on Trip Advisor reviews. Was truly one of the best meals of our trip. Excellent wait staff. Fabulous food. Beautiful dining rooms. Gorgeous gardens. This is a must do if you want a meal that is more than just a meal.
