This is a very popular spot in Fredricksburg and our second visit in two years. It will also be our last. My husband and I flew in from the East coast to visit family members in San Antonio for the weekend. Reservations were made well in advance and we arrived early. We checked in at the concierge desk inside the... More

Stopped in for lunch and couldn't resist the sampler plate. A selection of three of the best selling sandwiches - tuna salad, chicken salad and jalapeno pimento cheese and the avocado soup. Had a delightful waiter. We so enjoyed our time that we went back the next day. Save room for the chocolate chip cookie - the best ever!

Such a reprieve from the from the typical Fredericksburg cuisine! My food was fresh and delicious and not fried! I had the shrimp and poblano chalupa with cold avocado soup and my husband had the prime rib burger and a salad. Both were delicious! This is a must if you go to Fredericksburg!!!

The tea room's menu is based on receipts from Cynthia Pedregon. She and her husband, Hector, started this tea room in 1972 and was the first business that was located off Main Street in Fredericksburg. It was a big deal then to see if it would survive. I believe it survived because the food was so good! It survives today... More

We went for lunch on an unusually cold day and the pea soup was excellent and perfect for our chills. I liked it so much I took a peek at the recipe in the cookbook sold in the gift shop, so I could add more flavor to mine when I made it again. The young staff was cheerful and inviting.... More

Foods here seemed to me to have a bit too many "extras" in the area of spices and herbs. For example, I ordered the bread sampler, and received about 4-5 different samples of breads, each of which had some special flavoring which I think distracted from it being bread. And then it was served with "herb flavored butter". What happened... More

As out of towners we went straight to a local (my sister-in-law) for a lunch destination suggestion first. The only thing I can think of that's more reliable than TA. Grade "A"+ such a wonderfully quaint atmosphere with healthy and unique choices. A W A the old burger standby. BUT WHAT A STANDBY IT WAS ...... Simply the BEST Burger... More

We met family in this quaint tea room and were able to have quiet conversation with scrumptious food. The butternut squash soup was outstanding!

Great food and yummy desserts. This restaurant is always packed and for good reason. They do soups, salads, and sandwiches up the right way.

We've eaten here before and tried it again. The butternut squash soup and southwest pork quesadilla special was a big hit with me, hubby had their sandwich sampler and was equally delighted. Great little place to relax, their peach ginger ice tea was excellent.
