Best Pit BBQ on Main Street

Our group of 12 tried most of the different menu item and didn't have a negative comment on any of them. I loved the pork ribs which were done to perfection. We all liked the green beans which were just right: not too soft, not to crisp. A few people, myself included, commented that they were so... read more

Wanting BBQ on a Sunday night. Have been to this restaurant before but not in a long time. Ordered a pound of brisket to go. The girl in back took a long time finding several pieces to cut. For $ 14.75 lb. I will not be back. It was dry and I think the meat was not sliced correctly and... More

I had the brisket sandwich. I did not like the sauce. The brisket was a bit fatty and it made me sick. BBQ is a matter of personal taste. I don't plan to return.

I thought that I must be in the wrong restaurant after reading some of the previous reviews. Whilst this is a no frills place the food is excellent and great value for money. The 3 meat plate with pork , brisket and chicken is superb

David's BBQ is consistently good - and the restaurant is easily located on Main Street in Fredericksburg. He caters, too!

Tried the brisket plate. The brisket was dry, no smoke ring or flavor...the sauce was not much help in covering up the shortcomings of the meat. The sauce was a bit too sweet and had few characteristics of a good bbq sauce. The beans were bland and the cole slaw was basically thick cuts of cabbage with a little vinegar... More

Stopped in late on Sunday afternoon (9/14/2014) right before they were to close. They waited on us with no problems and didn't try to rush us out the door. Even changed the TV channel for us. We both had the brisket sandwich which was stacked with fresh tasty brisket. The bun was not your standard HB bun and was lightly... More

Not at all fancy but great service and great food. Friendly staff that is helpful for letting you choose what and how you want your food. Not the "tourist" place as at the end of the main street but happy we went there for a "local" place for lunch. Very inexpensive prices for the great food.
