Different but good

My brisket tasted more like roast than bbq, so if real smoky is your deal this may not be for you. It is moist and good sized. Good sides and bottle beer available.

We picked up pulled pork, ribs, and chicken to take home. The meet was very tender and tasty. I liked the bbq sauce but others didn't. I'd highly recommend it!

The place is toward the end of Main Street and is open until 4 PM. We stopped for a late lunch and ordered the brisket sandwich and some sausage. Right behind the counter is the young man serving up the food. The brisket was not hot but it did have a nice ring of smoke to it and was not... More

We usually go there for dinner, but decided to try their breakfast tacos for breakfast. Loved them and they have a nice variety.

We tried this place after a hike up Enchanted Rock, so we were hungry and ready for something good. Brisket nachos were good, the brisket and sausage plate was just average. It IS BBQ , but not the best I have ever had. Potato salad was bland. Service was fine, the food came out quickly.

Rustic building, good service. We had pulled pork, sausage and brisket. The meat was very tender but flavor was missing. The green beans were nice. All in all it wasn't bad just not great.

If I could give it a 0 that would be too much. The only thing they have going for them is a location on Main Street - the better to lure suckers - I mean tourists - like us in. This was our first stop for Hill Country BBQ and they missed on all counts. We had brisket, ribs, chicken... More

Plain food and no character in the decor. Freezer burned ice cream on the peach cobbler. Maybe a good spot for locals but not worth the stop for travelers looking for great Texas bbq. Friendly staff.

Of all the places to get smoked meat in town David's is our first choice. Sunday offering includes a traditional turkey plate as well. Over the last several years David has been constantly improving, and his latest addition is wrapped breakfast tacos, which are fabulous. The tacos are made to order so they are hot fresh and are not sticky.... More

Definitely stop in for a breakfast burrito in the mornings. Place is even open on Sundays for burrito pick-up. Lots of choices and great salsas.
