Not bad but not good.

Plain food and no character in the decor. Freezer burned ice cream on the peach cobbler. Maybe a good spot for locals but not worth the stop for travelers looking for great Texas bbq. Friendly staff.

Of all the places to get smoked meat in town David's is our first choice. Sunday offering includes a traditional turkey plate as well. Over the last several years David has been constantly improving, and his latest addition is wrapped breakfast tacos, which are fabulous. The tacos are made to order so they are hot fresh and are not sticky.... More

Definitely stop in for a breakfast burrito in the mornings. Place is even open on Sundays for burrito pick-up. Lots of choices and great salsas.

The ONLY reason I do not give a 5 star is because I like coffee a lot and the coffee was just ok, not to strong. The food on the other hand was great! My husband and I wanted a little quicker breakfast so we stopped in one morning and had burritos and they were both yummy. I had the... More

Our group of 12 tried most of the different menu item and didn't have a negative comment on any of them. I loved the pork ribs which were done to perfection. We all liked the green beans which were just right: not too soft, not to crisp. A few people, myself included, commented that they were so good they would... More

Wanting BBQ on a Sunday night. Have been to this restaurant before but not in a long time. Ordered a pound of brisket to go. The girl in back took a long time finding several pieces to cut. For $ 14.75 lb. I will not be back. It was dry and I think the meat was not sliced correctly and... More

I had the brisket sandwich. I did not like the sauce. The brisket was a bit fatty and it made me sick. BBQ is a matter of personal taste. I don't plan to return.

I thought that I must be in the wrong restaurant after reading some of the previous reviews. Whilst this is a no frills place the food is excellent and great value for money. The 3 meat plate with pork , brisket and chicken is superb

David's BBQ is consistently good - and the restaurant is easily located on Main Street in Fredericksburg. He caters, too!
