Food was a little better than average. Our server (Marco) was very good, atmosphere was good. Stay away from the special house sauce on your food, it tastes like marinara sauce. In all fairness, they do encourage you to ask your waiter for a sample (which we did) before ordering it on your food.

the worst Chile Relleno I have had in all of the US and Mexico. The pepper was stuffed with fried large chunks of onions. The bright yellow/green salsa was the worst tasting concoction I have ever tasted!

I always get the Beef enchiladas, my wife tries tacos, enchiladas etc. Good food, mild enough to not be offensive, good value for the money, neat decor, although I like Kerrville's more.Parking lot is sorta challenging, esp for out big Texas trucks.

The green sauce glows is the most unappetizing and unnatural color of day-glo green. It tasted ok but I couldn't get past the color. The flounder was not fresh. The chicken enchiladas with cream sauce was mushy but ok. The waitress was super nice and attentive but we would not go back.

Had the Chicken & Pasta Dish with Cream Sauce. Thank God I snacked so long on the Chips & Salsa so when my meal came I was full and only ate a quarter of my meal. Food tasted weird but thought maybe it was flavored by wine or something - Wrong!! 3 hours after eating my meal I became deafly... More

We ate here on a very busy Sunday right at lunch time. We had a group of 9 and only had to wait about 15 minutes. We were seated in the bar area so the tables were round and small but we made do. The waitress went out of her way to make sure her customers were happy! And the... More

We have eaten in many Mexican restaurants in many places, Mamacita's was excellent. We had the New York strip with baked potato and salads. Our steak was perfectly cooked, the potato with trimmings was even delicious. Our server, Joe, was very good and those working with him were Also attentive. Really enjoyed our dining experience!!!

We had heard that this place was really good. However, we live on the border with Mexico, so our standards for Mexican food are probably higher than average. The food was ok, there was nothing wrong with it... except for their green salsa. Normally green salsa is an olive color. When this was served, it was day-glow green, no kidding.... More

Mamacitas is a bustling, vibrant restaurant when full and the service was average despite the number of waiters. But the thrill is in the eating! Huge plates of hot, and tantalizing flavored selections are the norm and the cost is way too low. We enjoyed everything!!
