I had a very pleasant experience here at Der Lindenbaum. It had a very nice atmosphere, and I felt like I was in Germany. I had the Wiener Schnitzel, and it was really good. The waitress was very polite. Be sure to save room for dessert. The Black Forest cake is amazing! This is the perfect place to eat at... More

Had the recommendation of Chuckwagon Inn's Sam & Becky and they were right. the food and service were fantastic. Pretty sure we were waited on by the owner and cook. She was great. This is a cant-miss.

My husband is German and was served lots of German food while growing up so his expectations were for authentic German food when visiting a town like Fredericksburg. The lunch we had fell into the 'very average' category--we were quite disappointed as we were looking forward to a more interesting experience. Beyond that, the service was very poor and off-handed.... More

Food was not as authentic as in previous visits, too much salt, just a disappointment this visit. Server was marginal and had an attitude. Most probably our last visit.

Friends and I chose Der Lindenbaum at random for a leisurely Monday lunch. The sausage plate special with sauerkraut and potato salad was delicious. The service was prompt and polite, and our meal was served in a very short time. We were very impressed, and each of us has experience in food service.

Do you ever watch Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay? This place needs him. The food was VERY low quality, cold and just not good. We went to a few German places to get a taste of the town. This was by far the worst, I actually told my husband I would have preferred fast food over this place. I got... More

The front desk of our hotel sent us here: there's no accounting for taste! The restaurant lacks an adequate waiting area so people hover in the doorway while waiting for a table. Once we were seated we were served and out the door in 25 minutes. I have had more relaxing meals in fast food restaurants. It felt as though... More

We were so happy with the luncheon we had after visiting the Pacific Museum which was across the street. All of our entrees were tasty. We loved the sauerkraut, and the potato salad.

This restaurant is one of the main reasons we go to Fredericksburg. We love the Jauger Snitzel and all the desserts. It can be crowded during the main eating hours, but just come back. It's well worth the wait. I also like their red cabbage and German potato salad.

This is usually our favourite restaurant if we fancy a schnitzel ! It's always consistently good , fresh , hot and tasty ! After spending four years enjoying the beloved cuisine that Germany has to offer this is as close as it gets ! Our favourite being the jäger schnitzel , DELISH and their cheese cake is definitely worth a... More
