Great food and good service

Excellent German food and really nice atmosphere located on the Main street. Service friendly but not that quick. Desserts are superb! Try the carrot cake. Prices a tad high, but to be expected on the main street of tourist town.

The warm potato salad and red cabbage was awesome. Made me want to go home and search for some German recipes! The service was great friendly. But remember no cards accepted. Checks - which I used - or cash. Go early for lunch as the small dining area fills up quickly.

We're not easily impressed, but this place sure impressed us! Between very well-prepared food and extremely attentive waitstaff, there was simply nothing to complain about.

My husband and I went here after seeing some advertisements for this restaurant in local magazines. We thought that since they had been in Southern Living and Texas Monthly (per their advertisements we saw) and advertised authentic German food that we would try it. We were terribly disappointed. The service was lacking, the atmosphere was blah, the wine tasted like... More

The large salad, pepper steak, goulash, and beef stew were all delicious. The cucumber salad was exceptional too! Excellent food and service!

There are several German restaurants to chose from and we decided to try this one for the first time. I had the Jaguar Schnitzel which was excellent. My companion did not like her food as well, but rated it good. It is a quaint restaurant and good value. If I was the owner, i would start accepting VISA credit cards.... More

Tried this place based on trip advisor reviews and it turned out pretty good. Place was empty at 1:00pm, but soon a family of 4 and another couple came in. Place was very quaint, only minus was the nats flying around possibly from the fresh flowers on the table. Husband and I got the jager schnitzel and it was delicious,... More

After reading the menu on their website, we traveled there to have either Sauerbraten or the meatballs in caper sauce. When we arrived, (Sunday) we were given a one page menu with basically only sausages or schnitzels as entrees. We were also expecting to enjoy German beer on draft, and my husband noticed that all beer was served in PLASTIC... More
