Friends and I chose Der Lindenbaum at random for a leisurely Monday lunch. The sausage plate special with sauerkraut and potato salad was delicious. The service was prompt and polite, and our meal was served in a very short time. We were very impressed, and each of us has experience in food service.

Do you ever watch Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay? This place needs him. The food was VERY low quality, cold and just not good. We went to a few German places to get a taste of the town. This was by far the worst, I actually told my husband I would have preferred fast food over this place. I got... More

The front desk of our hotel sent us here: there's no accounting for taste! The restaurant lacks an adequate waiting area so people hover in the doorway while waiting for a table. Once we were seated we were served and out the door in 25 minutes. I have had more relaxing meals in fast food restaurants. It felt as though... More

We were so happy with the luncheon we had after visiting the Pacific Museum which was across the street. All of our entrees were tasty. We loved the sauerkraut, and the potato salad.

This restaurant is one of the main reasons we go to Fredericksburg. We love the Jauger Snitzel and all the desserts. It can be crowded during the main eating hours, but just come back. It's well worth the wait. I also like their red cabbage and German potato salad.

This is usually our favourite restaurant if we fancy a schnitzel ! It's always consistently good , fresh , hot and tasty ! After spending four years enjoying the beloved cuisine that Germany has to offer this is as close as it gets ! Our favourite being the jäger schnitzel , DELISH and their cheese cake is definitely worth a... More

Maybe I'm spoiled after having lived in Germany for a couple of months. This place is just OK in my opinion. We didnt have to wait for a table during a busy holiday weekend, so that was nice. I ordered the pan fried pork chop plate which comes with potato salad and saurkraut. I can't remember what the name of... More

Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, great service and right off the main street in the middle of Fredericksburg. My wife had Jagerschnitzel and I had the daily special, an incredible pork chop and sausage. We both were amazed at the flavor profiles and how the sweet, sour and savory aspects associated with each meal compliment each other perfectly.

Doesn't compare to real German food, but is passable. There is a "typo" on the pork chops selection - and they charge for 5 slices of store bought bread to go with the wurst plate.
