First time at this restaurant...I've had better, I've had worse. Had the plate with the three different sausages. Served with sour kraut and potato salad. Kraut was flavorful, sausage was okay, and potato salad needed help. Portions were reasonable and priced fairly. Service was average from what appeared to be an over worked server. I would like to try another... More

We went to Der Lindenbaum with no knowledge of the restaurant. We were amazed at the quality of the food. The title says it all. The food was great, the service was great, and we had an enjoyable meal. Having visited quite a few German restaurants, we think this one is among the tops. Our only surprise was that they... More

Der Lindenbaum is a quaint Texan-German restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt. Their menu is focussed on just a few German dishes and they have a list of German beers. Both food and drink were expensive for what we got. The portions were generous and my partner's schnitzel was good but my own dish of... More

The schnitzel here was amazing. The one with mushrooms was the best. The potatoes were also very tasty. Would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. I had the Konigsberger Klopse which was absolutely delicious (I had to keep my husband from mooching the whole thing), and my husband had the sausage plate which was very good, but not the best sausage we've ever had (the sauerkraut was wonderful). In a nutshell this is a cozy (read: smaller than most)... More

Almost everything was sweet especially potato salad and sauce for Goulasch. I prefer savory or vinegar (which I thought was predominately in German cooking). Will not be eating here again.

It isn't the BEST meal I have ever had in a restaurant but the food is very good. Having never been to Germany but having a German heritage I remember some of the foods offered on the menu as foods I had growing up visiting my Grandparents. Reasonably priced this restaurant is on Main Street and is small with good... More

I had eaten here several times in the past, and always loved the food. Haven't been back for over a year due to a bad service experience. I was craving jäger schnitzel, and thought I would give it another try. Soo glad I did! This place is charming with it's pressed tin ceiling and original charm. The service was friendly... More

The four of us seniors enjoyed early dinner here. It was somewhat disappointing in the use of plastic cups etc for a place that could be quite special. Although the beer was not bad, we ended up drinking Shiner dark beer, for lack of a good German variety. Our server got one order wrong, but was quick to bring a... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hosts at the Chuckwagon B&B as being authentically German. Part of my heritage is German, I speak German, and I longed for a taste of home. Ms Becky and Sam said I could speak German to the wait staff to complete my homecoming. First we discovered the restaurant DOES NOT ACCEPT MasterCard... More
