great reubens, sausages, good selection of german foods

sat outside had 2 German beers with my husband and a German lunch- portions were huge-we should have split it had we known. Lots of ambience and fun people watching.

We got a lovely table in the biergarden and the food was quite good. Both sandwiches were great and the sweet and sour potatoes yummy. My only quibble was that the service left a bit to be desired.

Good German food and very accomodating staff. 12 of us came in without a reservation and were given a private room with a table to seat 12 or more. The German food was great and the prices not absorbitant.

My husband and I really enjoy Altdorf! He liked the beer and we always spilt meals. Everyone was nice and it's a fun atmosphere!

My husband and I enjoyed our first visit so much that we went back! We had lunch (inside dining room) and dinner (biergarten) and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The sausage sampler and Jaeger Schnitzel were excellent. The service at dinner wasn't as prompt, but it was ok. The food, however, was terrific.

I ordered the Reuben Reuben, was very disappointed. Deli meat served on dry bread, don't know if it was pumpernickel or rye or what type of bread, it had sourkraut, the kraut was good. This place boasts the BEST Reuben sandwich around. Also partook of dinner plate of breaded cutlet. If you have a big group, try an appetiser of the fried veggies. It's huge!
