Rathskeller is located in the basement of an old hospital on Main Street. Upon descending the stairs, I was surprised by the small size and simplicity of the place. There were a handful of tables, plain chairs and minimal decoration - I guess I expect more chintz in Fredericksburg. The wine and beer list was fairly basic, but there were... More

Went and ate there on this trip and once again it never disappoints. The peach bread pudding is a must. It is to die for. I actually order that before my meal so they won't run out.

On a warm summer Monday, we went down into the Rathskeller Restaurant for a very pleasant lunch. Great server (Hunter) very good selection of beers, and a very flavorful luncheon special Chicken Ravioli.

This small but delightful restaurant is located in a basement near old hospital on Main Street. Service was excellent and food delicious. Recommend the Alvarado crab appetizer served warm with tortilla chips that is enough for two to four. Closed Tuesdays.

Good selection of food, had something for everyone. Everyone's meal came out as ordered and tasted great. Fast service for lunch, which allowed us to recharge then be on our way.

I was really excited to eat here, below an old hospital- how cool! The place was really nice looking, small and dark but that added to the location. We were told to seat ourselves which we did. Someone eventually took our drink order which was simply water. When the lady brought them back we wanted to order an appetizer and... More

What a cool little place. The resturant is in the basement of what used to be a hospital. It is a small yet wonderful place to eat. We had breakfast here one morning and loved it. In addition, they serve lunch and dinner where the menus look amazing. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was fantastic!! Eggs, sausage, kidney... More

We enjoyed lunch at this restaurant during our last trip to the wine country. The atmosphere was really enjoyable. The place was crowded but the service was still good. They had a great selection and the prices are very reasonable.
