Pretty good

The Jagerschnitzel with white wine sauce was pretty good. The German potato salad was alright. Warm slices of potato in a sauce that tasted almost sweet. It wasn't what I was expecting. The spaztle was....different. Wasn't fan of it really. An odd pasta, that was overly buttered and kinda bland... read more

We ate at Auslander's on our first trip to Fredricksburg and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, especially the German chocolate cake! And the service was exceptional. We will definitely be eating here on our next visit to Fredricksburg.

Interesting decor in this dining establishment. This German style family place offers good food and great beers. It is a super selection for tourists who want a quick bite or a large plate. Service is steady.

The wife and I were in Fredericksburg checking it out. Saw this place as we looked in the shops and decided to double back after we finished. Glad we did as we found the place to have good food and beer. My wife had the Ruben sandwich and I had the jaeger schnitzel. Both were tasty. We also shared an... More

We were here on a Monday and they were out of my three menu choices. Once was enough to visit. Food ok. Good customer service except I had to ask for a high chair. they were even out of bread for our sandwiches. I guess Sunday was the best time to go.

We had a 45 min. wait which was not long considering it was Valentine's Day and they were short staffed. Our food was authentic German and delicious! Our server was pleasant and prompt with all requests. We had a wonderful experience! We sat in the outdoor area since the weather was nice.

While this restaurant is better than average, it is actually more good than very good. This German themed eatery offers you a choice of two very different areas to eat, one indoor and the other outdoor. The indoor area is attractive - cuckoo clocks, stuffed deer and moose heads, large paintings of German Scenes and a big stone fireplace. The outdoor... More

Full order of the deep fried mushrooms is huge!! Yes I ordered for two but there were tones of these yummy fungi! We both had Rubens, mine without the corned beef (I'm a vegetarian) and they were both delicious! Husband and carnivore had the potato soup too and he rates that very high "you can taste the ham"

If you've never been to Germany, you'll like this. If, like my wife and I, who have spent fourteen years in Germany, you'll see it as the deeply superficial restaurant that it is.
