We loved the great beer choices, as well as a few of the wine choices. We were a bit confused as to why the waiters wear dress shirts with (poorly tied) ties, while the hostesses wear t-shirts with the restaurant's logo. This was my second time at this place, although, my first time was just for drinks. The food was fine, I can’t say it truly took me back to Germany, but it wasn’t bad by any means. Great food. The outdoor patio is where the smokers were, so we had to eat inside in the restaurant part of the place. Even the indoor bar area was smoky. Anyway, great food and the prices weren't bad. I was told there are 3 or 4 German restaurants in Fredericksburg and that all of them are good. more

Went to Auslander recently with wife a kids, the place was busy but the time to get a seat in the biergarten was under 10 minutes and had live band to make the wait more entertaining.
