Pretty good German food

Pretty good German food. The service was OK, the food was better than average, the location is perfect (right on the main drag), and the desserts were yummy. Several different types of beer to choose from.

Popped into Auslander for dinner on a weeknight. Predictable menu. I ordered monochromatic potato soup, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and spätzle (soft egg noodles) and I wished I'd ordered something with color (like red cabbage or green beans). Family place -- a youth team of 10 came in excitedly, and enjoyed the ambiance. Excellent service.

We love the area, but german food hasn't been my favorite so we have never really thought to try this place. So glad we did! Good food. We ate once inside. Very neat. The other time we took our dog and sat outside. Very dog friendly. We will return next trip into Fredericksburg.

Delicious food from the Bavarian region of Germany! I recommend grabbing appetizers and drinks (ladies note: they have mimosas, bellinis, sangria and hot wine) while enjoying the live music in the biergarten. Then working your way to the main course - schnitzel and sausages, if you want to immerse yourself - and topping the night off with a dessert (the... More

We stopped in for lunch and wanted German food. We ordered a pork cutlet with sauerkraut and German potato salad. We really like the sauerkraut, which is not always true in a restaurant. The food was excellent and the waitress was as well. If you like German food, stop here.

The service was excellent but the food was pretty average. We were there for lunch. At night with German beer and the oompah music it is probably more fun.

First time visit to Fredericksburg, so we decided to have lunch while walking the main street. Wife & I split a Jaegerschnitzel dinner. It was superb. Red cabbage was also de delicious. Extensive beer selection both bottle and on tap. The menu won't disappoint!!

Stopped in and had a meal here. It's was good. The seats are the worst part of the place. Hard wooden folding chairs. If you have issues like me being a disabled veteran then you may wanna pass this up. I was in real pain. But good v food, good music, and good beer trumped all the pain for me.

There is plenty of beer and what a variety of very good brews. The food is excellent and I would have gone back but there was many other good ones.

The chickenschnitzle was great! They have chicken strips for kids and the French fries are excellent. However, this is more of a bar atmosphere than some of the other German restaurants in town.
