Nest is a gem hidden in plain sight, and the culinary crown of Fredericksburg with a wine list to match. Our dishes were perfectly prepared from top quality ingredients and served with attentive care. The most delightfully memorable New Year's Eve dinner anywhere in a very long time. Don't miss Nest if you're in the vicinity of Fredericksburg.

Elegant homelike atmosphere with exceptional food imaginatively presented. The men ate the rack of lamb; the women the scallops. We shared the escargot appetizer (grilled and served in a martini glass) and a dessert. Every morsel was delicious. Our waiter was a friend of the chef who was "helping out." He was a gem. Highly recommend this restaurant assuming the... More

Maybe I have the incorrect number? Been calling every day since Sunday to try and make a reservation and cannot get anyone on the phone. Rings and rings then says the mail box is full? Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

We didn't expect to find a food lover's dream in a little house in the middle of Texas Hill Country. The portions were big, the meat tender and cooked to perfection, the vegetables crisp tender, the potatoes creamy and rich, the soup and salad fresh, and the deserts... I think we died and went to heaven! Then there's the staff.... More

We would definitely go again. Service was great, food superb. I had the 1/2 chicken and it could have served two. Homemade bread and fabulous flan for dessert.

My original review of this restaurant was excellent. Second trip didn't go nearly as well. The bread was cold and stale and the steak undercooked. We ordered the profiteroles for desert and they were described on menu with coffee ice cream and chocolate sauce. The pastry was stale and tough and the ice cream was cinnamon. I detest cinnamon ice... More

This little restaurant, located in a historic home, was recommended to us. It is out of the way and not in the main stream of tourist attractions in Fredericksburg, thank goodness. Reservations are needed as it only seats around 14 people total. Our waitress was charming and very informative regarding each entrée. I did notice, however, that she paid a... More

When looking for a good place to eat in Fredericksburg and you don't fancy the German bradwurst for dinner, try the Nest. About a mile south of Main Street, good service, very good menu and decent (not over priced) wine list. Next time we're here we'll definitely come back!

We joined another couple for a relaxing weekend in Fredericksburg and they found this restaurant and I'm glad they did. It's a charming old house with tables in various rooms. The overall feeling was private and the wait staff were very attentive. Their wine selection was above average and the food was amazing. Between the tenderloin and the lamb being... More
