Really nice surprise

I hardly ever give five stars but sometimes when an owner is really thoughtful and the food is good, it warrants a reward. I hardly ever give five stars but sometimes when an owner is really thoughtful and the food is good, it warrants a reward. Stopped for carry-out after a long drive and didn't expect anything but basic nourishment. Ordered two appetizers--fried artichoke and bruschetta. Really tasty even after a stay in the foam boxes. My friend and I ate at the Pasta Bella. We had the lunch special - lasagna, salad and tea for under $10! Salad was cold, food hot and tea perfect. Service was friendly and the desserts were out of this world.

Because of the high ratings on Trip Advisor we wasted a dinner at Pasta Bella. From the terrible plastic- like breaded calamari rectangles to the strange white sauce (gravy?) on my catfish... breaded, of course, to the small overdressed Caesar salad, this mid priced dinner was a bust! Fredericksburg is no foodie's dream venue, but this doesn't make it for... More

We were on a rare couple's getaway, on a budget, and just wanted to do a little relaxing and hanging out in Fredericksburg. We always seem to compare the rare getaways we have with our honeymoon in Italy, and our dinner at Pasta Bella helped bring that back. It felt just like the little Italian hole-in-the-wall restaurants we enjoyed in... More

We had past on this place the last time we were in town, I now wish we hadn't. Great service and an even better meal is what we received. We had the Seafood Ravioli, which was in a homemade white sauce. Excellent, and topped it off with Italian Cream Cake. I'm just sorry we past on it our previous times... More

We were welcomed by a nice gentleman who remembered our names still by the end of our visit (just from taking them down for seating). Our waitress was kind. We ordered the special #3 with added Alfredo it was very tasty! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Good experience over all!

I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and asked for marinara sauce on my spaghetti side. It came out with a garlic sauce that was so hot and had way too much garlic, that my friend could smell it across the table. I told the manager that I had ordered my spaghetti with the marinara sauce and instead of bringing me a... More

Loved this place! It's small and everyone was treated like family. I got the Pasta Bella with a little Alfredo sauce on the side (suggested by the waitress). It was so delicious I wanted to go back! My husband got lasagna who said it reminded him of how his Italian grandmother and aunts used to make. We can't wait to... More

We had a fabulous dinner! Started out with Fried Artichoke which frankly could have been fried a tad longer but it was still good. The sauce was yummy. I had the Manicotti with Mushroom Alfredo Sauce and it was too die for! Rich and delicious with enough left over to bring home for lunch the next day...My boyfriend had Ravioli... More

On a busy evening, we beat the crowd by arriving just at 6pm. Before long the line was out the door. The lasagna was steaming hot, a generous cheesy serving. The Italian sausage with pasta, though enough for two meals, could have had more sausage. Small salads came with the meal, but garlic bread cost extra. Plain bread was included.... More
