The Pink Pig is now out of business even though their web page doesn't tell you that. If you call, however, you'll get a recording saying that they hope to reopen at a different location in the future.

My wife and I had dinner tonight at the Pink Pig. I had the naked burger, served on a bed of cooked spinach and my wife had the snapper with wild rice and snap peas. We finished the meal off by sharing a piece on the best key lime pie ever. One of the best meals we have ever had... More

Sophisticated I'm not. My tastes run a little more toward standard pub fare so a BLT with fried green tomatoes (which weren't good at all!) and shrimp (what?!?) was a little above my taste buds. But I'm sure for a foodie, this place would be excellent.

From the moment we arrived everryone greeted us with a smile and went out of their way to make sure our experience was pleasurable. We started with a Wedge Salad and the Tomato soup. Both were delicious and the wedge was plenty big to share. I really enjoyed the blue cheese on the wedge. it was not overpowering. For entree,... More

I had read some of the reviews before we went here for dinner, and I didn't realize it was so expensive and not real kid friendly for dinner. We were the only ones with kids that evening, and there was a short, expensive menu (definitely nothing for kids). However, when we asked they did provide the kids with chicken strips... More

My husband and I visited last Friday for lunch. As far as appearances go this place is five star. The restaurant design is Texas hill country and has a nice outdoor seating area. There is a cabinet with all their home style type desserts (lemon bars, moon pie, key lime pie, macaroons etc.) displayed and they look amazing. If you... More

Stopped in before wine tasting at Becker and this meal was one of the best during our weekend trip to hill country. Meals our group had were the mozzarella salad, tomato soup, chicken salad sandwich, and shrimp blt. All were amazing and were washed down well with mimosas. They have a beautiful outside lounge - very shabbby chic and a... More

On the wine trail coming into town. Should not miss! Great views off the patio. Pork on fry bread was great. Do not miss the pastry case.

We went to the Pink Pig with another couple for dinner on a Thursday. There were not many entree choices & they were "out" of the one we wanted. The service was good. We will not be going back. I think this place is way overrated!

This place was top on my list of places to eat while in Fredericksburg. I loved the ambiance or atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a nice place, but comfortable. The food was good and the dessert case was filled with all kinds of yummy looking items! The service was also excellent. It was well worth a visit.
