The two stars go to the nice bartender and the pleasant atmosphere. I thought that $12 for a glass of wine ON TAP was ridiculous. A warning would have been nice.

Stopped in for a quick glass of wine and a cheese plate. Excellent on both. Our server made excellent wine suggestions and was spot-on in choosing something that matched our tastes. The cheese late was great. We liked it so much we went back again the next day for an encore.

Owner and manager were very welcoming, and their suggestions brought us to some wines we have never tasted, and they were excellent. Good wine is not cheap, you do not go into a wine bar and look for your everyday wine. Experiment, and know that he growers of the grape work very hard for us, so enjoy.

We stop at House.Wine every time we are in Fredericksburg. It's right on main street in the center of town. Not a restaurant, but they do offer some appetizers. Mainly it is a wine-tasting bar. The front of the bar is an antiques store, but in the back it is a wine-tasting bar. It's as comfy as being at a... More

Well, after visiting wineries for a few hours we were ready to relax and have something to eat and this place caught our attention. We had thought of maybe just having an aperitif and going somewhere else for the main meal but we liked the atmosphere of the place a lot and the staff was really helpful and attentive even... More

I love that this place doesn't sell any local wines. They actually have wines and beers from all over the country/globe and that is what attracted us here. Also, they have roasted garlic and goat cheese bruschetta. We stopped in for a drink and had some beer from my other favorite wine country, Paso Robles.

Cool little wine bar in the back. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Great end of year sale on bottles of wine. I should stop writing now but trip adviser requires 100 symbols. We will be back tomorrow!

We went to House Wine during Octoberfest. It's a nice little bar and the atmosphere is great. I ordered a Reisling and my husband a beer. The wine and beer were nearly double of what we paid just a few doors down.....for the exact same thing. You are paying for the atmosphere something to keep in mind.

A fun and cozy wine bar right on E. Main St. in charming Fredericksburg! In the back of the store is a comfortable wine bar area along with sofa/chairs seating. Not a wine-tasting bar, but nice wines by the glass/bottle... also beer and small plates. The front part of the store has nice antiques for sale. That all makes for... More
