Stopped by thinking it was a restaurant - it is actually a deli and market. Grabbed many items - two different sandwiches which were fantastic! The meat is great - we grabbed many items to bring home and serve to family!

We stopped here on the way out of town and had some samples, which prompted us to buy their smoked beef tenderloin, smoked pork tenderloin, and smoked beef. It was all so very well made and packaged. They also carried some unique grocery items from the local area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great place with some great... More

Once again we visited Opa's on another trip to Fredericksburg and once again it was awesome. We always go and get the smoked cheese and beef tenderloin and snacked on it all day- actually we have to go back tomorrow and get more.

I love Opa's. It is what my title says it is. People often expect another type sausage than what is offered here. Its not made to cook in gumbo, etouffe, pinto beans, or other dishes of that type. It is for German fare foods like with sauerkraut! So often people are disappointed when they buy it. You have to like... More

Read all of the great reviews, so we decided to try the deli for lunch. We were disappointed that all of the sandwiches were pre-made and stored in the cold case. I was assured that they had all been made that morning, but the only sandwich they would make on the spot was a sausage sandwich. We ordered a couple... More

Had their sausage and actually bought some to take home. I was very disappointed in the quality. The casings were too tough to eat and the sausage was nothing special.

Lots of prepackaged Opa's smoked sausages, deli sliced to order meats and cheeses.. Newest is smoked sausage with Hatch green chiles. Their chicken salad is excellent, so are their deviled eggs. The smoked whole chicken is moist, tasty and excellent. They will custom make any combination you wish for a lunch box. Helpful clerks will give you samples of any... More

Much smaller retail section than it appears. We purchased a Pastrami sandwich for lunch to share (about $7). It was the BEST sandwich we've had ever! We loved it so much we went back for another one for dinner! :-)

If you don't know where to go and buy Opa's sausage when you visit Texas, then this is the place. I always make a stop here, stock up on about 5-10 pounds to take back home to California with me. It's that good!

All the offerings for a picnic lunch. With the difficulties of finding good inexpensive food this is a real good option.
