Good eats at reasonable prices.

We had brunch and found the choices wide, filling, tasty, and the service quick. The pastries and breads are really, really good, especially if you eat them outside on the curb in the sunshine..

On a recent Tuesday morning at 7:30 we visited for breakfast and were happily satisfied with the eggs, omelets and sausage, but the real favorite was the German pancake, so large that it spilled over the edge of the large platter it was served on. The syrup wasn't the best I've had, but the portions of the meal made up... More

I don't really get it. It's very cramped in there, the tables, salt n pepper and condiments are dirty. The food was ok, kinda tasted like most came from a can or box. On the positive, the staff was friendly, and the pastries we took home were yummy. I would give it another try next time if they clean it... More

We apologize for your experience. I will most definitely get with our staff to make sure the condiments and tables are better serviced and clean. As for our food, nothing comes out of a can or a box and we strive on that, everything is homemade. Please give us another chance and visit us soon. Sincerely Lutz More

We were excited to try this place out. I didn't think it was that great. The portions were nice and large....however, my food was cold. It tasted okay, but....eh...

We sincerely apologize for your cold food! I have spoke with the waitstaff to make sure they double check their tables after the first bite, to make sure our guest is happy and that their food is hot and delicious. Please stop by next time your family is in town and we will make sure y'all's experience is great. Sincerely,... More

This was our first time eating German food in Fredericksburg. Our party had two types of schnitzel and enjoyed both. The portions are huge! I couldn't finish my German pan-fried potatoes, even though they were great. I thought the prices were a bit high, but probably typical for such a tourist-y spot. I wish we had tried the pastries, but... More

We ate there once and came back for a second breakfast. The pancakes were light and fluffy (as well as huge - one can easily fill you up) and the French toast was to die for. Both times, it was very crowded but we didn't have to wait too long. Loved this place!

Even though this place was very busy, we got seated quickly for breakfast. Waitress was friendly. The German pancakes and hash browns were amazing. Did not not care for the sausage ( just a different taste). All of the pastries looked awesome. Wish we would have grabbed some to take home.

Was a regular here 20 years ago and haven't been back since my relocation until this weekend. While the amazing cheese sticks were gone, many of the wonderful pastries were still available! Too, the chocolate chip meringue were there! We loaded up on the poppyseed Danish and the nut bretzels to sustain our return to Austin! We were delighted to... More

We were seated at a very small table by the bathroom door. I was in the corner with the Wall on one side and a very large man on the other. My wife was by the door and was brushed every time someone went in. It was not an enjoyable meal!!!. Please remove the table.

TABLE 10!!!! We apologize for your seating arrangement. Our locals love that table cause they can read their newspapers and books somewhat privately. Next time we will be more than happy to move you to a different table, cause it is a very tight fit. More

The food is excellent! I had the German Meatloaf, Smashe Potatoes and Red Cabbage, and it was excellent! The restaurant is in a downtown bakery, so the atmosphere is modest, but the food is out of this world! The service is good, too.
