I We love this place. Crowded, busy, cozy with great pastries and breakfast. Nothing fancy, just a great busy diner and bakery atmosphere.

Stopped by during a visit in December. Was really looking forward to some German Lebkuchen, baumkucken, etc. Despite the name, there were NO German Christmas cookies (other than meringues) to be found. Most of the facility is a restaurant, which must be good as there was a line waiting to get in. Small display case for take out with bread,... More

We apologize for your disappointment! But as for our stollen it is very reasonable compared to any place, do your research. We are not selling donuts cause we are not a donut shop. And we are not a confectionary we are a bakery specializing in breads and pastries. Not cookies. Baumkuchen is the correct spelling. More

Have only had breakfast here but it is awesome. We never fail to walk out with a bag full of pastries and a loaf or two of pumpernickel bread. All very good!!

ate their breakfast twice. had apple strudel and a german pancake with it flowing off the plate. It was delicious. The second day had the small potato cakes which are not that small and they were excellent as well. Very crowded but they have community seating and met people from where we lived both days.

Really good home-cooking! Order off the chalkboard (several items same as menu). I ate the Liver & Onions on our first visit and the German Meatloaf on our second visit. Both reasonably priced for a tourist venue ($10-$12). Good service, provincial atmosphere. Definitely pick up a sweet or savory kolache for breakfast.

Darn! I meant to take a photo of the amazing breakfast at Old German Bakery and Restaurant....but it looked so wonderful, I immediately dug into the special of the day, which was "Opa" sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and biscuits. Awesome meal! The German sausage had just the right amount of seasoning and was almost the size of a kielbasa. Eggs were... More

We lived in Germany teaching for the Army for 21 years, and when we need a schnitzel (pork cutlet) fix, we head to the Old German Bakery. It doesn't get better than this on either continent. Portions are big, flavor is great, and their spaetzle is just right. When you see the bakery you'll be tempted to ask the price... More

Great food, great service. We were treated so nicely and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. It was definitely a treat to visit.

Walking gown Main Street we found a packed German bakery and dropped in. What a beautiful assortment of pastries just like my Grandma used to make! My husband and I tried 4 different things and could not decide which one we liked most. Can't wait to go back in the morning on our way out of town !
