Stopped in for lunch. Had the blonde ale, jailhouse Bock, and Black Cat IPA and all were exceptional. Split the Schnitzel and sausage plates and they were also very good. Quite possibly the best red cabbage I've had and the German potato salad was not far behind.

A friend and I visited this restaurant for an extremely late lunch while shopping on Main Street. The portions were huge and the food was very good. Our waiter was very nice and efficient. A great place overall.

We understand completely that tourist towns have a tendency to attract hoards of people who want as much as possible for free. But this place charges for or doesn't allow anything. We left the "winery" tasting room because none of us want to buy a $15 glass that we aren't going to take home on the plane just totl try... More

I tried all the beers and settled on the pale ale. They had a couple of dark beers that were tasty as well. My wife's schnitzel was okay, as was my sausage plate, but nothing special. The service is efficient and friendly. Come for the beer, and have a snack if you must. Nice atmosphere with a large seating area... More

I guess I found out why this is ranked so low in Fredricksburg. The beer is average at best, nothing stood out. The food was OK, but not great. But the service was mixed. Our waiter was good but the Hostess and one of the girls at the bar were terrible. Won't go back here

Went with large party of eight, not long wait at all and enjoyed the first of a few craft beers, I had the black cat a dark IPA that was excellent. Be sure to get the Scotch Egg with the beer, all the food was good and portions were large enough to share with others.

We visited the brewery and tasted a collection of the beers. We have got better beers. But it is a cosy tourist attraction.

Beer was good...food was marginal. The schnitzel was over cooked, crisp and tough....Disappointing because I have eaten here in the past and enjoyed my meal.

We ate here on Nov 8th. The service we received was very good. He had a 8 person table sit down right after our table of three and I worried if we would ever see him again but he kept us in mind and we had a great experience. The food was very good except for the bratwurst sandwich which... More

I went in there to get a growler of beer while my friend went to go get our pizza at West End Pizza (West End had great service). My friend came back while we waited for our pizza and ordered a soft drink. With 5 empty seats at the bar the waitress asked us to to move so other customers... More
