We went with a group...there were 6 of us. We all got something different. All said they had excellent food. Service was good. Did not have to ask for a thing. This time,I got steak, which I never do.(I seem to always go for fish...but this time I did not.) It was cooked exactly like I liked it. Everything was... More

This was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. And I travel a lot! I started out with the elk mini tacos, outstanding. Then continued on to the bacon wrapped elk sirloin. It was completely wrapped in bacon and was insanely tender. It came with an incredible sauce and some sort of spicy grits and... More

We went to Bonnells with a large group(20) to celebrate a birthday. I got the Texas shrimp and Grits appetizer and the blackened chicken pasta while my wife got the Southwestern chicken stack. I loved the Shrimp and grits but the chicken in my dish was over cooked and very dry. My wife said that the Southwestern chicken stack was... More

Busy Friday but had reservation and good waitress. She made excellent recommendation on appetizer. The elk tacos were so good I wish I had ordered it for my meal. Husband's elk tenderloin was excellent and sauce made the dish. My veal was rather bland and disappointing but the spicy grits helped give the meal better balance. The cornbread pancake was... More

Had the elk mini tacos and mixed grill. Awesome. As a hunter, I like seeing expressive ways to cook the game I typically take the easy way out on (fry, gumbo, bacon wrap, etc.). It is pricey, but you are getting a quality meal. Great first date place (unless she is a vegetarian).

As part of a group of 30 people, reservations were made for the private dining room at Bonnell's and a great time was had by all. The food was amazing -- I had the Buffalo with asparagus and the 3-way potato with each item cooked to perfection, and I heard compliments from others in our party on the various dishes... More

Great food to be had here, but bring your adventurous side. Goat cheese, elk, quail, buffalo... all amazing, but not your "typical fare". The atmosphere was very relaxed yet sophisticated. The only complaint we had was some very slow service.

Unique game dishes seem to be the trend and nice alternative to the usual steak and chops in Fort Worth. These guys didn't seem to wow me with their take on some game delicacies. The meat was ordered medium but came out well done. The server was not very attentive. And, for the price, it lacked a certain expected ambiance.... More
