Disappointed

I had such high hopes for this place and looked SO forward to doing dinner. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great !! We ordered the grilled shrimp appetizer and it was either the elk or antelope (can't remember which) appetizer. Both were SO over cooked and dried out that we were shocked... read more

We went here for wedding rehearsal dinner. Probably 80 or so folks. Although our menu was limited the trout and filet mignon were fantastic. Cooked to absolute perfection. Usually when you eat with a group this large service is lacking and you are either eating before everyone or waiting to get your meal. Not the case, the wait staff had... More

If you want to have some of the best western style cuisine and an outstanding wine selection to go with it, this is the place to go. This is not just another steak place. It has multiple entrées for every taste - halibut, lamb, elk, pork, duck, trout and a host of others including steak, lots of it.

We celebrated Valentine's Day early with a wonderful dinner here. We were seated immediately and we felt very welcome. Our cucumber jalapeño margaritas needed the addition of agave syrup to be enjoyable. It was brought to the table without question. We chose an appetizer sampler of Wild Boar ribs, rattlesnake/rabbit sausage and Elk carpaccio nachos. The Boar ribs were the... More

My super wife suggested this place, while I was searching for a place to take my college-age daughters for a special Christmas dinner...as usual, she was right! The atmosphere was great; smaller than I expected, but not crowded at all. Dress for this place could be about anything, but I would say business/casual- although I would have felt just as... More

As a young child, I lived in a small little town, Grapevine, wedged between Ft. Worth & Dallas, Every weekend we would go to the "big city" of one of these two. I remember Ft. Worth as being a dusty, cow town. I enjoyed visiting but felt Ft. Worth was dirty compared to the hustle & bustle of the more... More

We had an amazing dinner here! This is the first time I have been bothered to write something about a place. Recommend the elk slider, shrimps, hush puppies and beet fries! Yum yum! Thanks for a great experience and good wine! :) from the Norwegian backpackers :)

Took a party of European visitors (mostly French) to Lonesome Dove. The service was good and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the rabbit/rattlesnake sausage appetizer. The group chose a wide variety of entrees and all were well prepared and tasty. The wine list is good and the staff knowledgable. Pricey as all get out but worth it for the... More

Four of us had reservations at 6:00 pm and were seated immediately. Our server was very helpful in guiding us thru the menu. We ordered three appetizers, the portions were adjusted so that all four of us could have a good sample of each. We all agreed the presentation and the taste of our entrees was excellent. I don't think... More

This restaurant is probably at the top end of pricing for Fort Worth restaurants, but the quality of the food warrants it. It's innovative twist on Texan classics makes for an enjoyable eating experience. The steaks are excellent. Great service and an extensive drinks list make for a great night. Well worth it.
