I enjoyed every course at Tim Love's restaurant. We we were staying with family in Dallas and made the trip to Fort Worth just to experience elegant western cuisine. I will dream of the truffled mac and cheese for some time. 'Open Table' is misleading, on line it said the place was booked up but we called anyway and they... more

It was supposed to be my birthday dinner...the food was overpriced for what we got to eat. For reservations (through Open Table) the only time we could eat on a Friday evening was at 6:00 pm..ok...but the place was empty until we left and it still took almost two hours to eat. I emailed the chef/owner thinking he would be... more

This is the kind of place that serves food in small portions with great attention to appearances. They put together some unusual combinations with a running game theme on the menu. There are a few sandwich-and-chips items that I recall went between $9 - $12.50 but the main push is towards a multi-course meal. After deciding on the trout for... more

I love trip advisor and use it as a compass when trying new things. So, I must be honest in my review of this restaurant in hopes of warning others before they drop big bucks to get a bad experience. I took my husband here for his 30th birthday. We live in Fort Worth and had wanted to go for... more

My husband and I just moved to Fort Worth and decided to take part in Restaurant Week, you pay $35 per person for a 3 course meal. We thought this would be a good time to get a feel and taste of Tim Love's Lonesome Dove Western Bistro without paying out the wazoo. We tried the Lobster wontons which were... more

I admit we went to this restaurant after seeing Tim Love on Top Chef.. it seemed interesting and we wanted a dining experience while in Fort Worth. Since we were on a budget we went for lunch... The server (Carter) was fantastic, very good at what he did and explained the menu well. he suggested we do a sampler of... more

I just love everything about Lonesome Dove. The rattlesnake nachos were so interesting and rich. The New Zealand deer chops were seared to perfection. This is a great restaurant to bring out-of-towners. more

I watched Andrew Zimmer's show and found out about Lonesome Dove Western Bistro. The chef and owner Tim Love won many awards including Iron Chef America. I admit I had a high expectation of this restaurant. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner, and we ordered cucumber martini, kangaroo nachos, rattlesnake and rabbit sausage, fig wrapped with bacon, fettuccini... more

We came because this was the only Fodor's pick for Fort Worth. It's such a rare experience to have a meal which satisfies from the drinks to the dessert. Lonesome Dove Bistro performs all fantastically! Listen to your server, especially if you get Allasan, as they know how & what to order. Start with a variety of apps, you can... more

The food was terrible. Each course got progressively worse. The filet was WAY undercooked and not of a good quality. Very gristly and not flavorful. I like my steak med rare, but this was still mooing. The dessert was inedible. Looked prepackaged, but not from a good vendor. Apps were a disaster. I was shocked of the quality of food... more
