Old school setting, good meal

The setting of this place is sort of like a 70s dark dining room. Do not let that throw you if that is not your thing. The food is good to very good and you get a good bang for your buck. I enjoyed a good steak at a fair price and it came with two sides and a salad... read more

Went to Cattleman with a large business group. Service was great and food was great also. My steak was cooked perfectly! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was on a work trip and we had a group of about a dozen people on a Wednesday night. Someone pushed to go here because they had immediate seating and H3 had a 20 minute wait. In the end, that made no difference because we did get seated quickly but nothing happened for over 20 minutes. The place seemed... More

We decided to eat at the Catlemen's ... Mmm. I had the NY Strip with bake potatoe and a nice cold salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. My steak was very good, loved the flavor. I ask what the seasoning was and our server said salt & pepper. Also volunteered that they used charcoal and that the grate they used... More

This has been the Beef Lovers Home for ages and ages. The house dressing is special. All of the beef is so good I try to eat a different selection every time I go...But that Rose Of Texas is hard to pass up. Interesting photos on the wall of past winners at the cow barn. I am not western but... More

We really enjoy having a big steak and walking around the stockyards. While it might have been an isolated instance, in our case, there we found a better steak house with comparable pricing and service. (also reviewed and recommended on Tripadvisor)

It was advertised as somewhat of an institution but to us it wasn't anything special. Mediocre food and service. Would not go back.

We went twice here whilst staying in Fort Worth. It tooks us quite a time to find somewhere we liked and nearly didn't go in. Really strange that the windows and doors are blacked out, so you can't see inside.. There was no menu outside, which was even more unusual. We had looked at the website and that was why... More

It's pricey, but worth it for the quality of the steak. The steak was one of the best we have ever had outside our home & the service was also quite good. Our waiter not only provided excellent dinner service but also helped clue us in about local attractions & more local eateries.

We loved the authentic nature of this restaurant. This is not a "made to look authentic" place, it simple is authentic. It has been in business since I believe it is 1947. The decor is truly western, stockyards theme, with tribute pictures of great bulls on the walls. Our steaks were perfection on a plate. We adored the fact that... More
