Nice suburban Mexican near TCU

Good choice for happy hour in the TCU area. Located in an upscale neighborhood strip mall, the grill has a very large bar area and overflowing happy hour crowd. The eats are served buffet-style. Atmosphere is nice but suburban. Pretty patio but the temps were too high for us to enjoy sitting... read more

Blue Mesa offers one of the best brunches in Forth Worth offering a variety of fresh, delicious foods on a pleasing buffet. They especially advertise their Mother's Day Buffet with reservations to avoid the Mother's Day nightmare of the eternal wait in line. We made reservations for 10 as soon as reservations were allowed and arrived at the restaurant 15... More

What a great variety of choices! Make sure you go early because it gets crowded and standing around waiting to make specific egg orders gets tedious, but it is well worth the wait. Of course, it is all interior Mexican food with great extras. Migas were really good. Fresh hot tortillas that can you can watch being made. Bloody Mary's... More

Wow, what a nightmare restaurant!! Expensive bizarre gross "Mexican" food! Took my extended family there for a celebration dinner, wished we had gone to Taco Bell instead! Not greeted at door by host on half empty weekend evening for a very long time. Waiters were slobs, unfriendly, weird, un-prompt, unprofessional punks. Food was so awful my son spit it out... More

Call ahead and get on a list to speed up the wait for Sunday brunch as it is a very popular place. It is loud and crowded but, so worth it. Huge selection of dishes ( mainly Mexican) to choose from. The fresh Omelet and Eggs Benedict station is delicious. Fresh tortillas are made on site. The best brunch buffet... More

There are some very good dishes and they have very loyal clientele. It is not my cup of tea. We do not like the margeritas.

My family has taken me there for Father's Day a couple of times, and the huge Sunday brunch buffet was good, although expensive. If you order an omelet, you can watch them cook it and tell then which toppings to add while it's cooking. When I go there alone, I go for happy hour when I can get a reasonably... More

While the food at Blue Mesa is good (albeit a little overpriced), their happy hour is fantastic. For the price of a happy hour drink (which is $4), you get all you can eat chips and salsa and quesadillas for free. As a graduate student on a limited budget, this place is great to meet friends and have a relaxing... More

I guess it was supposed to be a trendy up-scale Tex-Mex dining but missed on most counts. The venue was HOT and seems the AC was non existent which was not ideal for an evening meal. Service was prompt and friendly which was a plus. The drinks were over priced and not that good as they tried to put new... More

Food was okay. Busy place and service was a little relaxed. I tried the adobe pie and it didn't have much flavor.
