Been here twice recently. First time was excellent. Good n cold beer, great homemade salsa and entrees. Service was friendly even though we closed out the place. Second time the beer, salsa and service were as before. The queso flameado was a cheap, oily mess and my signature pork tamale was as tasteless as it was unnapealing to the eye.... More

Ordered torilla soup. Got a bowl of yellow water with some canned mixed veg (one lone pea) and so I avoid MSG and it was just msg broth. Took 30 minutes also. Enchilada plate was awful, sank into the plate. Maybe 5 tables we sat? All the staff looked terribly unhappy, phoning it in. A chain like taco diner would... More

We live in OKC and frequent the Fairmont district as we have family that lives there. Benito's is our favorite place to eat, drink, and just hang out. I dream of their Cocktel de Camaron Shrimp, it's to die for. The prices are great, the portion sizes are giant, and the service/experience are wonderful. We look forward to our trips... More

If you love goat cheese enchiladas and home made tortilla soup, you'll love Benito's !! Been going since early 80's perfect date or family place. Authentic (truly) Mexican food, all homemade. The margaritas are a MUST !!

My daughter and I love trying new places. I told her before we went to Benitos that chips are not served but tortillas are. We were so disappointed. We went lat night around 6ish. They were not busy. We had to find soemone to seat us becasue there was not anyone there to greet you so you were not sure... More

This place isn't so bad, the prices are okay, and you do get plenty of food for your money. We ordered sopes to start, which take a while to make, and the waiter brought us soup while we waited so we wouldn't get too hungry. The food was nice, I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with it. It wasn't... More

I read local reviews that said this place was good.... they were way wrong! The pork tamale had no flavor whatsoever and everything needed salt. The dried out Spanish rice and refried beans were both subpar. The only thing that worked for us was the salsas. Overpriced for such bad food! If you're in that area, try Magnolia Cheese Company... Food was Great. Beer was ice cold! Service was great! They were not busy. When my group of 12 were ready for our checks they only brought us the piece of paper the waitress wrote our orers on. And refused to give us our own checks. Yes, they were firm in this decision. I was not concerned until after we... More

Had lunch there on a Sunday and had heard good reviews for this restaurant online. The place was packed with customers but we did get seated immediately at a table that was in the path of the wait staff and passing customers that constantly bumped our chair or carried trays full of food or dishes over our heads. After placing... More

With all the places on Magnolia to eat, this was the only only open at 3pm for a late lunch. I should have waited. Chips and salsa are not free and the salsa is not good. Service was lousy and good was late and greasy. If you are looking for good mexican food, try anywhere else.
