Not as good as it used to be

I've eaten here several times in the past, and I feel the food and service are not as good as they used to be. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich with French fries. Although the food tasted OK, the sandwich was skimpy on the beef portion, and the food was lukewarm at best. I asked why I wasn't... read more

A breakfast that will do for the only meal of the day "Texas Triple". So much food you can't see the plate. You have to try it.

It has been a couple of years since I have enjoyed the fabulous home style cooking at Ginger Browns. I was treated to a birthday lunch and it was indeed a treat. The chicken fried steak is the best in the west. Just when you think that the meal was the best ever, here comes the home made cinnamon rolls!!!... More

I've never been more pissed off with a restaurant. Bought a $20 groupon for $40 worth of food to here and did not see in the details because it did not show it unless you actually clicked on details that they want 4 people to be present to be able to use it. Totally didn't see it said that, went... More

Their Cinnamon Rolls are the best. Not as good as it was 10 yrs. ago. We used to go in there at least once a week due to the home like atmosphere. Some people still do and those people are treated much different than those of us who go very seldom.

Really nice café environment. Large selection of breakfast meals, sandwiches, hot dinner and lunch menu. They are supposed to be known for their desserts and cinnamon rolls, but their meal portions are so generous - you won't have room in your tummy. Service was great, everyone was attentive - continuously asking if everything was okay and did we like it.... More

I feel like I was treated as a second class customer at Ginger Brown's Old Tyme Restaurant on 1/7/2015 because I had a Groupon. The first thing I saw when I came in the door was a chalk board with the daily specials on it and in big bold letters 'NO GROUPON'. Then they sat me at a table directly... More

This place specializes in waist expanding, release your belt, belly busting portions, well, at least for the breakfast meals. Unfortunately, the quality and consistency of the food suffers somewhat. I went on a few occasions over the holiday while visiting and was alternatively pleased and disappointed with the food quality. The pot roast special with Texas style potatoes was especially... For comfort food, this was well above the norm. I appreciated the lowered sodium especially. All the dishes were well prepared; the steamed veggies were just right, the tenders were among the best, and the only hit was some slightly overdone chicken. The place has some character, but it is somewhat lost on the tight seating. Ginger needs a bigger... More

Ginger Brown's restaurant is a great place to the chicken fried steak, pot roast, and meat loaf are great. With tasty sides like the fresh mashed potatoes and green beans among other tasty sides to enhance the entrees. The fresh baked rolls are delicious and can be covered with honey if you like. You will also get a hot fresh... More
