We went to dinner on,Saturday night with my husband and a friend. We live in Dallas so this is a really far distance from my house. I had gone there once prior and thought ny husband might enjoy it. It's a restaurant with a very friendly staff, but most dishes are fast-food like, however several level of quality above most fast-food restaurants. You feel home and guests are like a family, everybody seams to talk to each other across the tables. Large, if not huge portions to very reasonable prices, so you might consider to share a meal between... More

I quit visiting Ginger Browns a number of years ago due to bad food, bad service or both. A few months ago I used a Groupon to give them another try. The portions I received would not have filled a toddler. More specifically, I received less 1/4 of a cup of mashed potatoes. I asked the waiter if he could... More

We have been patrons of this restaurant for years. Visited recently and the service was HORIBLE. The food was NOT good, it was burnt and tasteless. My little girl LOVES this place but we steer clear because you never know what youre gonna get or if the food is going to be hot cold burt or under cooked. I can... More

I really wanted home cooking but that is not what I got! I ordered the pot roast and this is what they brought me cubed boiled potatoes, sliced cooked carrots, and roast with canned brown gravy poured over it. Pot roast is usually cooked with the vegetables. Other members of my party were okay with their food. Service was great,staff... More

If you love home cooking, butter drenched yeast rolls, and cinnamon rolls WITH dinner, you've got to eat at Ginger Brown's. The breakfast can't be beat and it's served all day. You'll also love favorites like chicken fried steak, black-eyed peas, Mac and cheese, and jalapeño hush puppies. Fun atmosphere, friendly wait staff, and Lu Lu Bingo on Mondays. What's... More

My 3yr old`s syrup had hair in it. My wife`s gravy was filled with green beans. The waiter had no idea what he was doing and would talk to himself in front of us. He alone made the experience very uncomfortable. We did not finish our meals and will not be going back.

We stopped here on a family trip through Dallas. We were greeted upon arrival by LuLu, who was friendly and very welcoming after a long day in the road. We enjoyed having veggies and Texas country cooking.
