Local Mexican Restaurant

This restaurant is a good local chain. Their chips & salsa are good, although a little different than the norm. The crispy tacos were good. Their fare is reliable.

In the 1950's my father was stationed at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, TX. The Mexican Inn was his favorite restaurant. Matter of fact he went so much that 20 years later in 1974 when our family visited an Air Force buddy of his we went to The Mexican Inn and the waitress recognized my Daddy and knew exactly what... when my family and i are in the mood for Mexican food we choose Mexican Inn. Everything is good here, but a special mention goes out to the chicken and rice, and the Tippin Platter. Service is always Fort Worth freindly and the chips/tortillas with salsa are the "BOMB"

This restaurant chain is well established in Fort Worth, Texas (1936) and became a local favorite in decades before better Tex-Mex and Mexican food was available in Fort Worth. Because it is relatively inexpensive, it is still very popular, but folks who know quality Tex-mex or want their Mexican food to be a little more authentic 'Mexican' avoid the Mexican... More

We had to do some detouring due to road construction, but well worth it. Three generations enjoyed the hot chips and great food.

We went to the new Mexican Inn on Hulen. We waited for 20 minutes only to discover half the tables were empty. The food was mediocre and the chips were stale. We won't be returning and are telling others to avoid it.

From my husband's side, they have been eating here for 4 generations. They make their own chips and salsa. You get your own bowl of each, so you don't have to share. Each location is a little different, in that they change for the local demands. The Lancaster location is very traditional "old school". They still serve salsa from pitchers.... More

If you are looking for 2 enchiladas, rice and beans.... this is it. The Mexican Inn specialty is restaurant made corn chips, more like Fritos than traditional triangle chips at most Mexican restaurants. The suburban locations hold true to the flavor of the Original Mexican Inn down town.

I've been eating at the Mexican Inn Cafes since I was a child. I'm 44. I have never had a bad meal! The chips are addicting, the hot sauce is perfect and the cheese enchiladas can't be beat! Mexican Inn was purchased many years ago by a new owner who owns Spring Creek BBQ. He has done a great job... More

Stopped here just to have the the best handmade corn tortillas and chips around. Just wanted to have a margarita and some chips/salsa/ corn tortillas and this is the place. I am not very impressed with the other courses but I do love the chips/tortillas
