Good Tex-Mex Food in Great Outdoor Patio Setting

Joe T's has been a landmark Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth for decades, starting out as an eatery in a house. Now, you can enjoy a beautiful outdoor setting when you eat given that the weather is not too cold or wet, which in Texas is unusual. I have eaten there while a light mist was falling... read more

Great food! The best Tex Mex. This is a family owned institution since the 30's. The menu has not changed much. I love the tacos! Great seasonings. Since I had their tortilla soup, I will not eat it anywhere else. Bean & Cheese nachos are wonderful big, crispy corn tortillas. Dint miss their salsa and jalapeno relish. For dessert I... More

My grandmother grew up across the street from the restaurant and we have been eating here for as long as I can remember! The fajitas and margaritas are worth a trip to Fort Worth. Remember to bring cash because credit cards aren't accepted!

We were in Dallas for a meeting with a Ft Worth native. He insisted on driving us to Joe T.'s for dinner. Long drive but it was a fun place. Obviously, they are used to handling large crowds. We were seated promply and orders quickly taken. Food was very good but not exceptional. Several other reviews point out there is... More

First they need to post more prominently that it is cash only...as I rarely carry much I could have been washing dishes to get out of there. We had mixed fajitas the beef and chicken were chunky cut not strips and the beef were quite good. The chicken spices were too sweet for me but my wife liked them. Margaritas... More

It was recommended that those of us traveling on business visit Joe's. Choices are limited--actually there are only two dinner choices--but dinner comes with so many sides, you will not go away hungry. All is served family style. The food was excellent, and the margaritas were even better. It was too cold to eat on the patio, but it was... More

Just about the worst fajita ever. Over counted chicken and beef. Almost jerry meet. Guacamole was excellent and fresh. Found half a tooth pick in my meal, manager comp'ed the meal. Very large portions, great garden area. Would not go back ever.

OK, I know this is a Fort Worth institution. And the patio is pretty awesome. But I just don't get it. Strong (not great, just strong) margaritas on a fantastic patio don't make up mediocre food, crazy limited menu, and being a general pain to go to. Go check out. I suppose you have to. But you'd better want enchiladas.... More

A must see if a Tourist. There are dozens of better Mexican Restaurants. Expensive and below ave quality. Margaritas are very good and atmosphere amazing.
