I wanted a treat and chose this place. It was a good choice. The atmosphere is nice without being stuffy. The staff was polite and didn't hover. The menu had interesting choices beyond traditional Italian. I selected ravioli with mushrooms, artichoke hearts and pine nuts. (Ravioli Carciofi) The sauce was a bright green which was a bit of a shock... More

We arrived a little early for dinner and were greeted at the door by the chef. Lots of choices on the menu. We started with garlic bread, which was both flavorful and plentiful. For our entree we had the special, which was chicken cacciatore. We were not disappointed. The boned chicken was so tender. It was perfect with the pasta... More

I have mixed feelings about Aventino. The dining hall is very pleasant, the wait staff cordial. No complaints there. The food though hit both high and low notes. I started with the focaccia which was delicious. Then on the waiter's advice, I tried the spaghetti Bolognese..... The sauce was bland and runny. That is the issue with this particular sauce,... I start and end my stays in Fort Worth with trips to Aventinos. There are plenty of Italian places in that area but I prefer Aventinos, not just because it is family owned and operated but because each dish is prepared with a light touch. The gravy is delicious and not overwhelming. The two ravioli dishes are both excellent. The... More

Thrilled to find this restaurant so near Route 30 exit. I drive through Fort Worth frequently and will be back. Found all the meals very good. Veal was not thin as used to but-more of a pounded cut from a roast but overall not a major issue. Service, quality of food, and value all very good. Type of cozy restaurant... More

Title says it all. The appetizers are delicious. Started with their focaccia, incredibly fresh and savoury. Tried their meat sauce. The pasta was way overlooked and the sauce was not good. I will return though and try their veal. If it comes out a winner then I can see myself becoming a regular. A lot of potential!

Had a little trouble finding this little place on a side street strip center, but man was it worth it! Nice interior with art work and white table cloths. Service was very attentive with very good suggestions from the menu. The $5 glass of house Chianti to start followed by a great house salad with vinaigrette dressing. My wife had... More

We read all the reviews and everyone was good so we went. We rate our meal as below average. We had the Veal Scaloppine with mushrooms and capers in a lemon based sauce with Linguini. I was not expecting any breading, though I could live with it, but there was too much and it made the sauce very think and... More
