Good Food

The food was quite good here. I ate here twice. On one occasion I had the Venison Chili, which was delicious. I also had the Cowtown Brisket Dip, which was very tasty. The other time I had the Spinach Salad, which was great. I also had the Smoked Brisket Pie in a jar, which was fabulous. The... read more

I was at the Omni for a meeting and dined in the Cast Iron restaurant. The salad bar had outstanding fresh ingredients, especially the tomato basil soup. They also had a couple of entrée-type choices: chicken breast with white sauce, and roasted pork tenderloin. I tried both and have to say the pork was exceptional. Would I go back there... More

We decided to experience Christmas dinner out this year. Because of the quality from Omni Hotels that I have come to expect over the years, we chose Cast Iron at the Omni Hotel in Fort Worth. Not a good choice. Upon arrival, (on time, at 6pm) for the reservation that was made 3 weeks in advance, our party of five... More

Ate a dinner here while staying at the Omni. Right in the hotel lobby. I was not looking to go out that night. Food was excellent!! Had a ribeye and it melted in my mouth. Service was superb and very attentive. I highly recommend!!

Walking in to the restaurant and looking at the menu, I was expecting much better food than I was served. The service was great, though it took a long time to get our food despite the entirely empty dining room. Our party ordered a variety of items, all presented beautifully and all distinctly bland with the exception of the way-too-garlicky... More

The only downside is that they took a while to cook our food, I heard someone did not like the Shrimp Alfredo. But the rest of the group was good with what they ordered.

Lovely atmosphere, great menu selection and delicious food. The chef and wait staff know how to do it right. Comfortable seating with beautiful artwork. Lighting and tableware were unique. Really great attention to detail. Food was very well prepared. I'd seek to come here again on our next trip out west.

We normally don't even try hotel restaurants, but didn't feel like making the 6 block trek uptown on our last day. So we ate here and it was excellent. I had a chopped salad with shrimp - very flavorful, and the shrimp were even warm! Husband had an outstanding brisket sandwich, also served plenty hot. Unfortunately we didn't have room... More

I hope I caught them on a bad night, but this was a bad meal. Staying at the Omni, so it was very convenient. The service was very good, bud the food was poor. The cornbread was very dry and slightly burned. The onion rings had no taste. The pork chop was over cooked and dry. The BBQ sauce added... More

Eggs were very dry had to be power, Bacon and sausage was very sweet and did not taste like meat. The rolls are all cold and the potatoes had to come from a bag at Wal-Mart- Not worth $38.00 for two we did not finish our meal and was given a credit. The service was very good- just very poor...
